1 Week Out Gastric Sleeve Surgery With Nausea?

I am 1 week post surgery and everything seems to be going well except when I wake up in the morning I have pretty severe nausea with no vomiting. I am on a ppi once a day in the am. It seems to settle down once I start sipping. Is this normal for this portion of recovery..and does it ever go away? It is very annoying.

I have the same issue! I met with my surgeon today. He said it is not typical but can happen. I hope it doesn't last long. :)

Yep I was nauseous a lot right after and maybe up 3 weeks post op. It goes away =) 3 months post-op now and I haven't been nauseous probably for a solid month. Well...thinking back there was an incident yesterday but i think i drunk my protein shake too fast. That'll do it. ;) Good luck and Congratulations on your surgery!

I had a lot of nausea the first week but it was mainly due to the pain medication that I was taking. Once I was off of that I felt fine.

I still have bouts of nausea and I am 3.5 weeks post op. I'm hoping it gets better because I get sick of feeling sick. The nausea is normal though as far as what I have been told.
