Fgf: Whats The One Most Awesome Thing You Can Do Now, That You Couldn't Before Your Vsg?

Hey everyone!!! IT'S FEEL GOOD FRIDAY!!! It's been a long time, but it's time to get back to positivity and seeing the forest for the trees.

Tell me, what is that one thing that you are SO PROUD you can do now that you've lost some weight with your VSG, that you were unable to do before?

For me, I'd say its all internal. I have found a voice within me I never knew existed. I feel like I constantly have to express how wonderful WLS is - it has given so many their lives back. Giving encouragement and always reminding everyone living the day to day with it that though perhaps your one moment may not be the greatest, don't forget the positives you are living because of it.

HAPPY FEEL GOOD FRIDAY Y'ALL!!!!!

Living life! I have the confidence to get rid of the people in my life that were holding me back. Quit a second job that I really didn't need so I can spend more time with my beautiful daughters. Life is good now. I really enjoy waking up everyday to see what the world is going to throw at me.

Good for you. I had hoped that I would gain for confidence in gettting rid of people who are holding me back but I think I need to find new people to share my life before I can muster the courage to rid myself of the negatives. So I'm working on that. I'm only months out so I'm trying to be kinder to myself now and realize moving forward in a healthy way is more important than doing it in a sprint and then realizing I made other mistakes as a result. I hope next year this time I can have posted your exact post.

Ride Horses!

There are several things I can do now that I could not or did not before my sleeve! First of all, I can walk in any store and find something cute to wear! I don't mind having my picture taken now. One of the most exciting things is when I "aquired" a collar bone, I love seeing it!! I'm in charge, food is not! Like somebody said, I now look on the outside how I've felt on the inside for years. Sex is a lot more fun now, it was good before, but I was always self conscious about how I looked. Not any longer. It's taken a while but I do know I'm small, even if I still feel like I have fat days. I use to think thin people said that just because, but it's true, some days, even though I know I'm thin, I will feel fat!! LoL

Horseback riding

Swim a mile and a half in one hour

Reach every part of my body

Bend over and pick up something I dropped without gasping and turning red in the face

Buy clothes off the rack from ANY store

Look down and see Mr. Winky witout stretching my neck :0

Walk ANYWHERE without wheezing and sweating to death

Hug my wife and she can touch her hands behind my back

Feel my bones!

I can paint my toe nails. I can cross my legs, I can see my feet in the shower. Little stuff that I did not think about but now that I can do it, surprises me. I have lost over 50 lbs and feel terrific. I am going to the gym, have lost so many inches. I have my stalls, but that is when I lose the inches. I am feeling so much better over all. I questioned myself in the beginning but now have no doubts. I know this is still an on going process for me. I hope everyone else is doing well and do not get discouraged. Notice the little things in life.

One month out I can easily n normally wipe ny butt. :0)

These are all fantastic, and like RebaC mentioned - most of the things I can do now didn't even dawn on me that I couldn't before. :) Life good!!! Keep rockin your sleeves everyone!!

Just getting back from Walt Disney World and power walked to the point my husband couldn't keep up with me..but I love that I can cross my legs..that really makes me feel great. Its been 21 years since my legs have been able to do that...
