So I kinda figured a #2 would take awhile and I did not worry about it but then I Google it and it says most people go by the 3rd day and if you get to a week call your doctor, its Sunday night at 10:30 I can't call him now but I will first thing in the morning until then if you would be so kind to you share your experiences please...Am I not normal at all?

Took me over a week. Doctor told me, little input = little output. Iron suppliments might have something to do this also. Call your surgeon in the morning to feel better, but sleep well tonight.

Took me over a week for the first one too. I only go about once a week now due to eating so much less I'm sure.

It took me 2 days after getting out of the hospital (so on day 6 after surgery).......perhaps all bodies are different. I put a little benefiber power in my Soup a few days ago and it made me go so much it scared me. I think from this point on, I'm going to let mother nature take its course-------unless I really have to take drastic measures. Blessings2u--bj

It took me a while to go... longer than a few days. I had surgery on 9/20 and hadn't gone when I went for my follow up appmnt on 9/28. My sugeon told me to take Milk of Magnesia and boy did that help. The only thing was, I wouldn't go unless I took it. It wasn't until I started my full liquids phase (cream soups) that I went and when I moved on the mushy/whole foods I had no problem. I believe the lack of going is due to your food intake. I would certainly consult your doctor but I think you'll find the more you consume the more you'll go.

I wish you all the best,

Niki

6 days after surgery. Was just getting ready to start on Miralax. Went for post op today and she said that was perfectly normal. The problem comes if you Feel like you have to go and can't.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
