Pasquini,

Congrats! Less than 5 lbs. to goal!

After you get to goal, what do you plan to change to enter maintenance and stop losing? I've got 15 plus a few ounces to go to goal, but I've been thinking about how I'll do maintenance quite a bit lately. When I'm not obsessing about not losing the last 15 :-)

I'm really not sure, I pretty much eat normal now, except I watch my carbs. I can increase my carbs but not to the detriment of Protein intake. I have been trying to figure that one out. Guess I will be spending some time on the maintanance threads.

It is such an amazing feeling!! and terrifying one too. Though it has always been my dreams but I think the same like you, who is gonna be there for me to defeat? should my life start revolving about something else other than beating pounds and gaining my health?

It is so scary for me, I know maintenance wont be easy but We will get used to it one day or another, and then what? lol I think I have developed so many passion toward sports and life, I will start to conquer those and may be the next thread we will be asking , where are we now? :)

Best of luck to u and everyone!!

congratulations Pasquini! 4 to go that is fantastic, my friend.

I think maintanence will not be so hard, (not there yet so what do I know) You will be fine, you are determined to get there and stay there. Just keep doing what you are doing while upping your calories just a bit.

My theory is that those who lose fast have a harder time with maintaining because their bodies haven't cought up to the trauma, but those who lose slow have an easier time because their bodies have had a chance to regulate somewhat and are used to what we are putting it through. Again just a threory.

Can you attach audio to here? LOL I would love to hear the Rocky music when reading your goal thread hahhahah.

I'm actually more concerned about not losing to much rather than regain. At least right now. I guess I'll just add a regular margarita night in ;-).

Hmm

Audio aye?

Good luck on your last 4 Lbs!!

I don't think I'll ever know what it's like to not have a goal before me... if anyone can share, that would be great.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
