I am 8 weeks today and down 20 lbs... Was down 23 lbs and gained 3 lbs back. Plus 15 of those lbs were in the first 3 weeks prior to my first stall. I make my Water and Protein goals 90% of the time. I am trying my best to not to get discouraged. Will the weight eventually move faster or will it always be this slow??

Sometimes its easier to figure your percentage lost. How much do you need to lose to meet goal and what percentage of that have you lost. Everyone is different depending on how much weight they need to lose to meet goal.

Hi Ladies....i'm so glad I found y'all.....I'm Sharon and had my surgery Aug 2. I am so frustrated and discouraged and figured the first month would at least be a boost. I lost 12 pounds in the first 2 weeks and absolutely nothing for the last 9 days. I am having 60 g Protein and averaging 5-600 calories, low fat and practically no sugar. I haven't begun to exercise yet, so I imagine that's to blame...still on full liquids to puree and am wondering what does it tale for my body to drop some of this.....started at 275 and now 263....any suggestions would be helpful....thanks....

Hi Sharon! Not to worry, you're having the three week stall... Almost everyone goes thru it.

You can search *three week stall* and finds loads of people worried just like you.

I stalled for weeks but I measured myself and I still lost inches just not weight.

Don't worry, your doing fine. Just keep doing the correct things and you will get smaller :)

(raises hand) Yep, that's me, a slow loser. I literally weighed the same, to the very ounce, for 6 days! I do feel changes in my size and clothes and will have to be happy with that.

Don't feel bad, I'm 4 weeks out and have been the same weight for 3 weeks... I'm eating 1000-1200 calories daily but work out for 1 hour plus weight train too. Surgery date 8/7 179pounds, went down to 165 in 1 1/2 weeks and have been the same! :( I have lost inches but not weight.

I just feel everyone is different and should be very much aware how the human body work....the regimen for the gastric sleeve is designed for each patient to follow day by day and week by week but what I have came to realize is dat its ok to change the plan every two weeks bcuz the body become immune very fast if we are eating the same exact foods everyday...so when you find yourself at a stall increase are decrease your food intake...Also weighing yourself everyday is not good...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
