Momoslim got a reaction from MoreganK in Any Sleevers With Pcos? -
Momoslim reacted to clk in Two Years!I can't believe how quickly time flies! I honestly can't believe it's been two years since my surgery already.
I'm pretty easily maintaining at goal, though I've found there is some truth to the "bounce-back" theory. Staying at 135 isn't always easy as my body seems happier just three pounds heavier and likes to stay there. However, I'm usually within 134-138 on the scale and I'm very happy with that.
I eat like a normal person now. I've been able to increase my calories substantially since 18 months post op. I'm now consuming 1,400+ calories a day and it's not really affecting my weight. I like to stick around 90+ grams of Protein a day and I think this helps with maintenance. I hate eating first thing so I still start my day with protein coffee or tea.
Everyone asks about loose skin and I'll say that there is a HUGE difference between one year out and two years out, so I encourage those considering plastics to maintain at goal as long as possible before seeking surgery. My case is a bit different as I have had twins, but at 17 months out my apron had much more adipose fat than now - now it's nearly flat, though still unsightly. I would have considered surgery on my arms and thighs necessary six months ago but now I think that exercise would firm them up nicely without surgery. I still hope for LBL and breast lift/augmentation one day but I'll have to put that off for now.
Because I'm pregnant! We used up the last of our frozen embryos and the procedure worked. So I'll be sure to update on how things go for me and how the weight gain/appetite works, as well as how quickly I take the weight off again when I'm done.
I will post some before and after photos, HOWEVER, I ask that you be nice to me. I've been on hormones for better than month now and I'm a bit bigger all around - my chest, arms and middle in particular feel a bit bloated - despite not gaining any real weight throughout this cycle. Actually, my breasts feel kind of obscene, after months of having them be so tiny they're busting out of all my shirts now! I'm also unable to wear my shapewear as it simply feels uncomfortably restrictive. So this is me, without the aid of gut-sucking shapewear, at two years out from VSG!
I couldn't be happier. Life is just amazing at goal, and now that we're expecting again? It's like a dream come true. I wouldn't change my decision to do this surgery for anything and I'm thankful every single day that I had it done.

Momoslim reacted to Lissa in Stupid Slider FoodsMeMe, Unless you're doing something strange to your watermelon, it isn't too bad for you. It's high liquid content is great, too!
Cheetos.. oh, my cheetos, how I crave thee. Someone told me about the single serving bags at walmart, so that's what I buy now, but I can only buy ONE at a time or they still cry out for me in the night. ::sigh::

Momoslim reacted to mommymar in No Regrets, But I Broke Down And Cried TodayJust remember, it's ok to have bad days. It's ok to get angry, to have regrets (I too think, why did I let myself get THIS big). Have a bad day today! Then tomorrow, get up notice how much better you sleep after losing weight, stand up and realize it's so much easier and how much less your body aches. Throw your tennis shoes on and marvel at what this body can do. Have a bad day but leave it at a day. Pull out some pre weightloss pics. Pretty soon (especially if you don't have to put on that darn swim suit) you will remember you earned that skin with every mile of work you put in. Be proud. You deserve to be proud of you and your body! Hugs your way!!

Momoslim got a reaction from Jolie_KeMi in Friends...how Many Of Us Have Them?Hi Kendra ......I can understand your situation,I have been through this all my life.i was over weight since my childhood and my best friend since then was skinny.she used to do the same thing as your A,did.she always used to tell me that no body's gonna marry you becoz you are so fat,you are not gonna be pregnant in life becoz of your weight, but I m sure you would do great alone....you don't any one beside you....she left me the day when she heard me getting engaged and then married and luckily I conceive just after my wedding although we were married the same day.
My surgeon told me one thing and it's damn so true ....he said after your surgery your friend circle will change....!and at that time I didn't understand his point but after two years I have gone through a lot ....all my old friends have left me who were my closest friends for years but just like your friend A .....they didn't like the idea of taking care of our selves and look ebeautiful and not inferior to any one now.
You just focus on your weight thing...she was never your friend so give yourself a pat for seeing her real face.no body is sincere to you other than your husband and family so just focus on them and see the big changes that come along with your surgery.feel comfident about you being look good and beautiful and keep your head high!
Good luck with your weight loss

Momoslim reacted to E-girl in Friends...how Many Of Us Have Them?A true friend is someone who will be there for you through "thick" and "thin", not just "thick". My best friend had a gastric bypass and when she was lossing weight, I was jealous but I never made her feel bad about it. I would say "I am sooo jealous, but you look great, keep it up." She had childhood friends that made a lot of negative comments and she was really hurt by it. Unfortunately, she is not as close to them now as a result but she couldn't really cut them off because they have know each other and their families for more that 30 year!.
Unforturnately, it doesn't sound like your "friend" is really a true friend. Sounds like she probably enjoyed being the center of attention and now you are getting a lot of attention for your success with your weight loss, she is trying to make herself feel better by putting you down or making you feel bad about yourself. People can be really messed up. Just because you know someone for years does not necessary make them true friends. My best friend and I don't alway see eye to eye but we respect either others decisions and whether we agree with it or not. Thats what best friends are suppose to do.
If it really bothers you that much and you want to save the friendship, then you really need to a talk to her about how her actions are making you feel. If she values your friendship, she will understand and change her ways. If she does change, you need to consider distancing yourself and reavaluate your definition of best friend. This new lifestyle is hard enough to adjust to than to have someone in your life stressing you out even more. You're going to have good days and bad days...more good than bad...but the last thing you need is someone around you, who see a bad day and using it as an opportunity to get their digs in with "I told you so."
I have a really close friend, who was constanting asking me or saying things that were hurtful after I announced I was having the sleeve. Like "are you sure this is what you want to do? You know there are other options? Have you tried this or that? You know some people have died from these surgeries". I understand her heart was in the right place but it was really annoying and I was already stressed from all the things I had to do to get approved. I finally said something to her. I told her that I was well aware of the risks but the risks for long term morbin obeseity was higher. I told her that I understood her concerns but I appreciate it if she would stop because it was making me feel bad. She said she just really cared and didn't want anything bad to happen. I said I understood that but I have done the research and this was the best option for me. After that, she has been my biggest supporter of my friends. She still asked things like "did you take your Vitamins today?" but its because I know she truely cares.
