  2. I just had an ahha moment... I also got the concept of slider foods but I totally get it now! Thanks Rootman... And yes popcorn (and chips) are slider foods (for me anyways). Thanks!!
  3. Congrats! You will be fine. Very happy for you and best wishes
  4. I'm not going to lie, I was in pain but everyone is different. Each day brings remarkable improvement. Don't be scared, it's just a small moment in time and the sleeve is worth it. Good luck to you.
  5. The above is day of surgery and two months out
  6. I noticed it from the beginning every single day but that's because we are obsessed with it. However, others started to really notice around 2 months and at two months I started to feel really good physically and started to get very happy and excited.
  7. I am 8 weeks today and down 20 lbs... Was down 23 lbs and gained 3 lbs back. Plus 15 of those lbs were in the first 3 weeks prior to my first stall. I make my water and protein goals 90% of the time. I am trying my best to not to get discouraged. Will the weight eventually move faster or will it always be this slow??

  9. I took two off originally but ended up making it 3. The pain, nausea, and gas will subside but you are going to be tired. I was drained until about my sixth week. The first two weeks back to work I was zapped when I got home. I even dropped my class at school because I was too tired to do the work. Take as much time as you can. You can always go back sooner if you feel well but it's the pits to ask for an extension.
  10. You do look great in both pictures... You are very beautiful, very stylish. I too had surgery on 5/24 and have also lost only 25 pounds and in the same manner... First two weeks were a major drop, a pound here or there for the next week and a half and nothing for a week now. It's a little aggravating because I'm impatient but I'm positive it will get moving again. If I lose slowly like this for the next year I will still be happy. Are you exercising? I started about 2 weeks ago but not intensely. I'm amping it up this week. Just out of curiosity what are your stats? I'm a shorty @ 5'2". Started at 215 and now I'm 190. My starting BMI was 38. I'm not sure if that's what the consider a low BMI'er or not. Good luck to you!
  11. Odd, my sister is struggling too for all the same reasons. I am doing well. Just wear out very easily but that is normal and dr said it should last another month. More importantly how are you doing? I was not in the mood to read and post right after surgery. How are you feeling?
  12. Sara, I see you were inquiring about a surgeon. I am not Kaiser. I used Dr Felix. He is very good and people travel from all over for him. He has a wonderful reputation and I am very please. He is in practice with Dr.Swartz at Advanced Bariactric Centers. He uses Clovis Community Hospital which is a centers of excellence and also known for their Bariactric programs. Hope this helps.
