I have tried to lose weight all of my life. My weight was even an issue as a young girl. I think I really started noticing it around the 4th grade. I did eat a lot of not so healthy things but I was very active. I was not huge through high school but was always heavier than all of the other girls. Once I had kids I struggled a great deal. I tried and tried to lose weight but I either didn't have the time or the will power. When I was 33 I finally lost some weight, enough to feel good and be happy but it really was kinda by accident. I had gotten sick with a really bad flu and between the medication and lack of appetite I lost some weight. I started running after that, not to lose weight but to feel healthy again. I focused on the running and my goals were in distance not in weight. The weight came off just because of the excercise. I began to notice the difference and started taking advantage of it. That is when I started really watching my diet. I ate very small portions and ran every day. I worked myself up to 4miles a day everyday. I got down to 168 which for a 5'2" woman is still kinda heavy. Even with all I was doing I was only 168. I met my husband, started dating, and with the lack of time between work, school and my children I began to put the weight back on. I have tried several times since to get back to 168 but never ever could no matter how good I was. I also knew that if I did it would be a struggle to stay there. I knew I could eat right and excercise but I needed some help. So I decided to have the surgery. I didn't want the bypass because everyone I knew had had the bypass seemed to be sick all the time or/and look unhealthy. At this point it has been 2 months since surgery for me and I do not regret it. The weight loss is slow but I know it will be permanent. I am eating right and excercising but I am not having to starve or kill myself. I am very excited for the day I reach my goal. I have not posted any before or after pics because I have a lot of time left till I get to the after pic. If you have any questions, suggestions or just want to connect message me! Good Luck to you!!
