  1. It's is low but expected at your timing. Don't push it. You will be able to take more in as more time passes. Believe it or not when I got my calories up I would drop a couple lbs. it's really a balancing act. I mixed it up a lot... One day I would reach 1300 cal and the next only 800 at times. Eating nuts is a good way to get calories up. I did the same with fat and carbs. Always kept the numbers bouncing around so my body wouldn't get used to any certain level.
  2. My monthly weight loss broke down 1st month: 18lbs 2nd month: 6lbs 3rd month: 6lbs 4th month: 9lbs 5th month: 6lbs 6th month: 7lbs 7th month: 6lbs
  3. Hang in there blueyes... The first few weeks were really tough for me because I wanted to eat something so badly with some texture and taste. I wasn't physically hungry, I just wanted to chew something. It's probably good you don't own a scale.... Everyone who does drives themselves crazy weighing every hour lol. I will be waiting for your report on the 3rd to see your progress
  4. I'm very excited for you. Best of luck. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Be sure to keep in touch.
  5. I sure you will just like me, I'm sure you're just to be out there and not be last
  6. Thanks everyone official time was 32:27. I finished 928th out of 1729.
  7. I ran my first (of hopefully many) 5ks today. It was the Jingle Bell Run down Christmas Tree Lane. Had such a great time and it felt great to not come in last. I ran the entire thing! I never could've done it 60lbs ago.
  8. I ran my first 5k race today too!! The jingle bell running Fresno, CA. Had a blast!
  9. Any Fresnoian Sleevers doing the Jingle Bell Run?
  10. I have lost a total of 57 lbs. Besides my first month and one other month I have lost 6 lbs/month like clockwork. I am expecting it to get slower. This last month I thought I was only going to lose 3-4 but at the last minute.. Bam! 3 lbs were gone.
  11. Hi... I had my surgery in May so I'm coming up on my 7th month. Hope things are going well for you. Things have been pretty great for me
  12. You look great! I agree with the running..... I am now starting to get back to where I can run and not feel like I'm going to die. I love running.... I missed it so much. I told my husband that one of the main reasons I wanted to lose weight was to be able to run again. He probably thought SUUUURREE... Lol. He sees it now. You really do look amazing and congrats for reaching goal. Keep up the strong work and good luck to you in all you do
  13. My surgery weight was 208 and I'm 5'2". I lost about 13 lbs the first 2 weeks then stalled for 3. Since then I have lost a steady 6 lbs per month with the exception of 1 month when I lost 9. I had surgery May 24. I am at 153. I don't think I'm going to lose my normal 6 lbs this month because of all of the holiday eating. I haven't gained so I'm happy about that. I'm not going crazy here between Thanksgiving and New Years but I'm not depriving myself. It's kinda like sensible cheating After the holidays I will buckle back down and lose the last 20-30 lbs. I am expecting it to take me until April. This thread has been great to see. It's comforting to know I am chugging along like everyone else and doing just fine. Good luck everyone!
  14. That does kinda suck. I think it's a bunch of crap. They call it a program fee to cover the nutritionist and stuff. I thought it was suppose to cover the psychologist too from my understanding but I had to pay for that too.
  15. Felix is good. I have no complaints. Let me know what you think. Don't be nervous. Felix's office pretty much make sure you get approved.
  16. Congratulations to you both! Not a Kaiser pt but I am in Fresno. I am nearly 6 months out (in 2weeks) and really enjoying my sleeve. Good luck to you and can't wait to see your progress.
  17. Excited for you! I'm six months out and do not regret one single thing. You will not regret it either. Good luck!
  18. Great Divagirl! Have you had surgery or scheduled for surgery?
