  1. I am 3 days post op and I'm doing okay. I had to stay in the hospital one extra day but after doing so I can tell I needed it and it was all good. I still feel pretty rough but I took two weeks off of work so I'm sure when the time comes I'm sure I will fine. The one thing that is keeping me moving pretty slow is a pain on my left side. I think it is just a pulled muscle or something. I am having no problem getting my liquids or protein in at this point. If I gulp I can feel some pain but I can take in a little more than a sip. I tire super easily. I get up, move around, use the potty, and I'm ready to rest. I fall asleep at a drop of a hat but its only for about 20-30 minutes. Overall I am doing pretty and am very happy
  2. I had surgery Thursday and was suppose to go home today. Doc is keeping me another night due to pain and low grade fever.
  3. Ok I'm here! I'm checked in and waiting to be called back. I'm not nervous... I'm excited. I want to get the surgery done and get past the first month. Yay!

  8. Wow... I think I'm more nervous about this than I am the actual surgery lol. Tomorrow is the surgery so tonight bring on the magnesium citrate....WAH!
  9. Oh no... I so don't want that to happen. I work until 5 and get home about 6. My surgery is at 730 the next morning. I wish I could take it sooner. Does it not work right away on everyone? I guess what I'm asking is... Can I take it at 2, 3, or 4 in the afternoon and be ok till I get home?
  10. I get home at 6pm....is that enough time?

  15. My Nut explained it to me like this: our food intake changes so drastically that our bodies kinda freak out and place all of our nutrients and energy into our life preserving organs like brain heart lungs etc etc. Our hair is not needed to live so our bodies dont care for it. When our bodies finally figure out that our new low intake is normal and we aren't going to starve our hair will get better. She said taking in our protein can help but it varies by individual. Hope that helps

  18. Mine is a nickname my husband gave me. On one of our very first dates somehow the name game came up and he apparently thought it was so cute that I sang it. I'm Jan so janjan BoBann stuck and he had ever since called me BoBann. I like it. It's simple.
  19. Ok experienced Sleevers..... I have a few Questions.. 1) does your back and you feet really stop hurting after losing weight? 2) does exercising get easier because you actually feel lighter or is it mental motivation that gets you moving? 3) does the snoring stop? 4) does spicy foods (jalapenos, hot sauces, etc.) affect our tiny tummies?
  20. I know we Sleevers start walking immediately after surgery and its a good idea before surgery but how long until the surgeon usually releases us for more vigorous excercise like weight training and jogging?
  21. We are all rootin for you Artsy! Changes are on the way! Enjoy!
