  1. I'm 5'1". Had no Preop diet requirement but dieted a week before. Started at 215. Was 208 day of surgery. Sleeved 5/24 so I am just over 3 weeks out. I am currently 192. I may be on my 3 week stall because I haven't lost anything for 4or5 days. I'm ok with that. I had a few bumps right after surgery. Went back to work this last week. I felt good just a little tired. Going to start going to the gym this coming Monday to help weight loss and get over the stall.
  2. How long do our stomachs stay swollen after surgery?
  3. This really was a great thread. The one thing LadyIvy said that stood out was once was a lb is lost we never see it again. I have dieted so much and so many times dropped below the 200 mark. I am now at 192 and so happy I will never see 200 again. I'm just getting started!! Whoot Whoot!
  4. You concentrate on fluids first. Protein will come in time. always try to get protein in but don't expect to make goals the first couple weeks. It's extremely important to stay hydrated. Work on the fluids... Sip sip sip.
  5. Wow what a difference! That's great! Congrats:)
  6. I was sleeved 5/24 and had diarrhea for 1.5 weeks. My dr tested me for c-diff and it came back negative but abnormal. I'm going to talk to him on Monday about the abnormal and what it means. I will share what he says on Monday.
  7. My husband had intended on staying there but I was so out of it the first day because of pain and morphine that he just went home. I had to stay an extra day in the hospital and he visited every day and stayed for a few hours but for the most part he stayed at home with the kids which made me feel better. It was nice to be left alone in peace and quiet. There were times I wish he were there to help me get up or help with my socks eyc etc but I managed. It was a nice break from life for a few days.
  8. I am a Fresnonian but I did not have my surgery at Kaiser. My sister had bypass with Kaiser three years ago. I went through Advanced Bariatric Centers with Dr. Felix. My surgery was at Clovis Community. Would love to share experiences.
  9. I am two weeks post op and I have no trouble getting fluids down and I have started mushies with no problem. However, when I drink the Protein shakes I always feel very nauseated and tired afterwards. Does anyone know why? Both carbs and sugars are low. I haven't had a problem with anything else except these and it really makes it tough to get my protein in. Thanks
  10. Feeling pretty good. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since surgery and I am 13 lbs lighter
  11. I lived on the west side too. I was off 103rd for awhile then moved to Beaver St
  12. Aww... I used to live in Jax but now I'm in CA. Whereabouts are you?
  13. I was sleeved on 5/24. I took two weeks off. I am suppose to return on Thursday but I wish I could take more time. I am so tired. It's not a sleepy tired, it's a weak tired. I wish I would've taken at least 3 weeks off. That way I could've gone back after being put on at least puréed food.
  14. Have had a low grade fever since surgery on the 24th of May. I was kept in the hospital an extra day. Discharged on Sunday, readmitted on tuesday for a temp of 101. No leaks found. Pain is normal leave. I can move around fine. Doc gave me some antibiotics and sent me home. I am still running a low grade fever. I was told to not call doc until it was 101. Did anyone else run a fever? Is it just from the stress of surgery?
  15. Great, great news!! Congrats!! Keep working it!
  16. Lissa, You look wonderful! Congrats!
  17. What is the consistency of liquid Lortab? If I remember right it's thick and syrupy right? Here's the deal... I got a rx for it for my surgery but I have a friend who had a Rx drug problem. I hadn't used so I was kinda keeping track of it. However today when I looked at it the volume was the same but it sloshed more in the bottle. When I opened it, it was like water. Just wanna make sure not crazy. I hope I'm wrong.
  18. EAS cardadvantage is the first I prefer then the premier from Costco. I don't care for the vanilla shakes in any brand. I stick to chocolate.
