BCBSNC- Don't fail me now!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I heard from my surgeon's office (Dr. Pirrello) that they are submitting my packet to insurance for pre-approval TODAY! I am so excited & nervous! I don't see many posts about bcbs- North Carolina, so I am hoping somebody will step up & share their experiences with getting approved.

The assistant said that it normally only takes 2-3 days to get approval from them, SO HERE IS HOPING FOR GOOD NEWS MIDWAY THROUGH NEXT WEEK!!

Is there any reason that you WON'T get approved if you meet the requirements ( & have for the last 5 years) & it is a covered surgery on your policy? I am just curious if they can deny you even if you meet the requirements & are in good health to have the surgery.

THANKS!!

Good luck too you! I ahve different insurance than you so I can't help you there. I think if you haven't heard from the insurance in the next couple days you should call and check on th stauts. Thats what I did and I got the good news way before my Dr. knew. The sooner you know the sooner you can get to the next step of the process. Good Luck keep updating!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
