What does dumping syndrome feel like with the sleeve?

Tonight I had some milk with a little bit of nesquick (1/2T) I started to feel really sick like I wanted to throw up. I start to dry heave a little and felt very weak and overall yucky. My sister finally suggested that maybe I was having dumping syndrome. My sister had gastric and knows about dumping but hers is so different from mine. I was told that with the sleeve we don't dump unless we go way overboard with the sugar. What does dumping feel like with the sleeve? I am 2 months out and this is my first big experience.

Absolutely.

It is an awful, awful feeling. Besides the physical symptoms, I have an impending sense of doom, that something is VERY wrong with my body.

I first experienced it a week after surgery when I very stupidly ate a couple of pieces of Valentine candy. It was an intense experience to say the least. FOLLOW YOUR GUIDELINES. You do not want to be eating sugar too soon, if it all.

I have also had very bad dumping a couple of other times, when consuming alcohol, but sugar is the main culprit and I avoid it most of the time even though I'm a few months out. You do not want to have dumping - horrible feeling (thank goodness it does pass).

I have not had anything with too much sugar, the most is 4g in my protein shake. I have had no dairy. I live only on broth, tea, water, SF Popsicle, and Protein shakes. Yet I go from cold to hot in a flash and my BM starts the day not bad but by noon I am rushing to the bathroom every hour. I am 7 days out.

you need to call your doctor, this sounds like C diff. its a serious infection you can catch in the hospital. call your doc right away!

I have c. Diff right now, I'm exactly a week out. It is AWFUL. you need to call your doc or it will for sure get worse. I'm on really harsh antibiotics to treat it and can't handle anything other than water right now :( good luck.

After not having anything else but waters for weeks I was really craving some strawberry lemonade w/crushed ice from Sonic, it felt soo good but after about 30 mins I started sweating, having horrible stomach pain and had to run to the restroom... Long story short it gave me really bad diarrhea :( sorry TMI

Good Morning There...I found, anything with sachrin, sorbitol, and many other sugar substitutes give me bad loose stools. Once, I switched over to low sugar products the problem subsided. I'm able to handle anything with only 5g of sugar. Its not a whole lot. I guess, I have to stay more intuned with my body. I'm not able to handle too many different kinds of meat either. My stomach rumbles so loud, that my Shi-Zu leaves the room...lol

Feeling much better. Thank you all for your help. Eating blended soups has helped a lot. I guess I needed the fiber. As for the flashes. Dr said it was dehydRation. Drinking more helps. I also ,ade popcycles with protein liquids. Helps a lot!
