Hey all just wondering what bougie did your Dr use? Are you happy with it? Any complications?

My surgeon used a 40 fr bougie over sewn. Very happy, great restriction. Only able to eat 2-3 ounces at a time. No complaints at all.

Mine used a 40 also. 9 days post op and so far so good : )

My dr uses a 34fr over sewn. I had no problems getting liquid in immediately (after leak test of course). No pain when swallowing. And I have great restriction on dense protein now. I am very happy with my sleeve.

My Dr doesn't use a bougie but what he uses is the same size as 34FR Surgery on Friday!!

Mine uses 40fr and I have heard that Kaiser uses 40 exclusively.

I'm was sleeved at Kaiser Fremont on 5/17 by Dr. Hahn. He used a 40 and oversewed the staple line. At 7 weeks out, I have restriction on solid Protein of about 1/4 cup. I can eat 1/2 cup of Soup or yogurt. I cannot gulp drinks, even Water.
