Howdy all...surgery almost didn't go I had personal doubts...than recovery was rough...WCB count high so I stayed in the hospital 2 days only to find at my CT to rule out any infection and or leak that my large fibroid cyst from y hysterectomy 09/2010 was huge and causing some issues!! OH JOY well I am home now, resting and enjoying the Protein and liquid WE CAN DO IT!!!

Good luck tomorrow!!! :) Let us know how it goes!

How are you feeling?!?! I'm getting mine this week!

I'm doing good. Struggling to get everything in, made my first homemade Protein shake today. I was able to sip about half of it down over an hour or so. It's really hard because I really have no appetite. Very strange for me but I'm rolling with it.

Everything is rumbling and moving inside today, lots of loud noises and gas. Hoping that all goes away soon and I get a little appetite back so I can enjoy my shakes and yogurts and such. Then again, I've only been out of surgery two days so I'm probably being a little impatient.

I'm wishing you the best of luck and want to hear all about your journey when you feel good enough to share with us.

You seem to be having very few issues, from what I've read from others. That's awesome. From what I've read the first coupleof weeks or so suck really bad. I'ts going to be rough, but YOU CAN DO IT!! I'm getting really nervous, other than that, my liquid diet is going fairly strong! I've had a few moments of weakness, but I survived! Just the fact that you got down half a shake in an hour is pretty impressive! I've been reading A LOT that many could barely sip Water the first couple of days! Keep up the good work! You are on your way!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
