Someone just told me that you can buy Protein pills!! No more shakes? ?? Am I missing something here? Surely there's a REASON why you guys are not talking about this... If you know something, please speak up before I go out and buy some!!

Yes you can, the big problem is that they contain only 1 gram of Protein PER TABLET, so if the bottle has 100 tablets in it for say $10 that's $.10 per gram, so to get like 50 grams of Protein would require 50 tablets at a cost of $5.00 - not very cost effective and a LOT of pills to pop.

Here's an example of some online: http://www.google.co...ved=0CEgQ8wIwAA

There are liquid Protein shots you can buy that contain 29 grams of protein in less than 3ozs of sweet liquid, they have a nasty sweet taste that is hard to take at first. One you can chug them in 2 or 3 swigs they are more tolerable.

I will now give you my critic's review of my liquid protein:

I tastes like bar-b-q sauce with carmel Syrup added. That's it exactly. Enjoy!!!

It's still better just to chug it down sometimes that to drink yet again another sticky shake.

I actually wonder why someone doesn't make a capsule with pressed Protein powder in it. I'd think it would be pretty easy to get 6-8 grams in a capsule for those who are down the line and can swallow a normal sized one. I can see where 1 gram per wouldn't be worth it.

On the Protein Shots, I've tried about 6 flavors and brands and found a grape one I actually like. It's not all that sweet. There was one that was like a fruit punch that just about gagged me it was so awful sweet. So there's quite a range out there. I think I'll keep picking up one here or there as I see different brands. Never know when you'll hit on one that's just right.

Wow,, a protien pill with higher grams would be awesome! So, as we all know everyone is different, our tastes our different, weight loss is different, etc.. you get the picture! I for one LOVE the liquid Protein Shots. The big difference here is I am reading other posts that say they drink the shot straight down in 2-3 gulps, I cant do that either. I mix mine with crystal light and Water. It is totally an awesome drink for me, by far my favorite!

I buy "body choice" concentrated weight loss shot at Costco... 25 grams of protien in 2.9 oz shot! I mix up a bottled water with crystal light, pour in a glass with ice, add my Protein shot and I could drink 3-4 of these a day! I dont, I only do one, but they are by far my favorite... Any GNC store has the protien shots as well as pharmacies. These are sooooo conveient...I always have one in the compartment of my car, if I should get running late or caught without having something to eat, I buy a flavored bottle water from gas station and add my protein shot! I also have had some days that I just could not get in all my protien so I will drink one at night just to make sure I hit my protein level. So for me, thesetubes of liquid protein help tremendously - and to me, mixing it with water and cyrstal light... it is great!

Good luck in finding what works for you..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
