I just got the phone call from my surgeon's insurance office saying that I came back as approved!! I'm soo excited I can hardly stand it! Just waiting for a call to schedule a date! Might be as soon as the last week of this month! Wow!! :-)

Thanks everyone!! Well, I just got it scheduled for Tuesday, May 10th!! I can't believe I'm actually gonna be able to do this!! Woo Hoo! Oh and I found out that I'd only have to do a 1 week liquid diet instead of 2 weeks, which is a super bonus!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I got approved today too. I could have done it that last week of April, but I wanted to wait until my daughter finished her exams and was home for the summer. So I'm doing May 2.

We should follow each other as we go through the process. You will be a few days ahead of me, so I can probably learn a lot from you!

I am excited and scared! I have had 3 surgeries in my life and each time I get more and more scared. The last one 2 years ago, they had to give me some heavy duty stuff before they even took me into the OR. I just get SO nervous about the anesthesia. But I'm so excited about the new life I'm embarking on. I just wish I had done this years and years ago.

That is great news!! My date is May 9th. We can sit next to each other on the loser's bench!!
