First off, I want to say thank you for all of your kind posts, I really do appreciate them So - I just got back from the Dr and here is the diagnosis - Vertigo Dehydrated Severely Bit B12 Deprived and....... Severe Depression Nothing major, right? lol yeah So in 2002 I was in a major car accident and suffered from really bad vertigo. I was told that any kind of trauma can bring it back, well I have it now and Dr is thinking that it was brought on by my Gastric surgery - So I had to get my ears irrigated out (Not pleasant) and was give exercises that I Need to do at least twice a day Before my surgery I was put on a Water pill because my legs an feet were so swollen, Dr stated that between that and my blood pressure pills I was dehydrated and had to drink my G2 Gatorade Even though I am taking the sub-lingual Vit B12 it looks like I am not absorbing it well, so I have to have the shots, I Have to give myself 1 every day for the next week then 1 a week for the next month, then 1 a month after that... UGHHHH Now for the fun part, Depression - I have to be a Wellbutrin for awhile - Dr did state that if I had any wierd side effects with it to just let her know and we can do something different - at this point I am willing to try anything Heres hoping this all works Thanks

Thanks all, My hubby called Dr Nick this afternoon and he said, that this happens, when your having a stressful time in your life, in the past we would go to food for a stress reliever, and since having the surgery, he has taken that coping mechanism away, so we don't have a way to deal with stress, so it tends to make us really angry and depressed - he also stated that I really needed some help with it as it is really extreme for me, so I am going into my family DR in the AM and he stated that I needed to get on a quick release anti depressant for about a week or two and I should be ok... I will keep you all posted Thanks

I just dont get it really - I am doing really well as far as weightloss is concerned, I am off of my blood pressure medicine as of Friday, I feel better then what I did before surgery, but emotionally - I am a wreck, I cry at the drop of a hat, I am never what you would call happy these days, I am always bored, and I get angry easily - I dont know what it is.. and its really not fun anymore.... Why cant I just be happy???

Never thought about carb withdrawl - hmmm I did mention it to my family DR on Friday, but they kinda ignored it like it was nothing - so if it doesnt get better, I will let them know that this definatly is an issue.

Ok, so i am 10 weeks post op and I find that I am easily set off and get angry, I mean really really angry - Is this normal? is this because all of the hormones being released into the body, or could there be something more to it?? Getting rather old actually, and it seems to happen at work and at home.... Thanks in advance for all of your responses.

What I had for Lunch
Awww thanks for worrying about me Meggie, but Yep, Really toasted breads and tortilla's are on my lists for days 21-42 - I can even have Crackers - Nut says that if you dont toast the breads they do ball up in your stomach and you wont be able to digest them, but if you toast them really well, so they crunch when you bite into them then chew chew chew, they turn into really fine pieces and just go away and wont just sit in your stomach. I have found just by reading here, that every plan is different, and everyone seems to be ok on what thier Dr tells them to do - I guess its also different for each person, what one person can handle, the other may not be able to - Oh BTW - the flat bread I used today, was really thin, and when it went under the broiler it because really crunchy and basically was chewed into dust before swallowing Luv Ya Meggie

YAY HORRAY!!
My plan states that I can have really toasted bread or tortilla, so I go with a low carb Tortilla and toast it really well and only eat half of it, I can have lean ground beef/chicken, scrambled eggs, Mashed potatoes, any soft cooked vegetable except Asparagas, Celery, Peas, Corn. As long as its mushy its all good - I didnt have to do any pureed foods at all and my Nut says that to measure a 1/2 c of food to start, you may be able to eat more or less, it depends on the person. This emotional stuff is driving me nuts, I never know when it is going to hit either, and I dont like that.... I will have to go and read up on the Ketosis - sounds interesting. I have been setting up my pool all day, I wanted one so I could get in every night and exercise in the Water, and just plain cool down, its been HOT here in TX, it was 102 on Friday...
