We all experience this. Today I made sauage bites to have later and the smelll is overwhelming. but I have not given in to try one just yet. I was a huge grazer and boredom is a big one that I have to manage. I am not hungry so I don't need to eat so I will just read some post and wait until it is supper time to try them. "Yoda...I need some help from the force here :P :P

When I was on my 2 week liquid diet I thought I was never gonna make it! But I found staying busy and not being home much or around food kept my mind occupied on other things rather than food!! I will say the closer I go to being sleeved the more food became my last worry! I am now 8weeks out and very happy with the decision to be sleeved. Good Luck 2 you...

Yup you betcha! I'm out 1 year and have head hunger like you won't believe. . . i satisfy it every now and then, could be why i'm losing slower now, but at least i'm not gaining right? Good luck! and just know that it's only a temporary thing, soon you'll be able to eat whatever. . . in smaller amounts of course.

Yup, I agree...everyone goes through it. After surgery it's another 2 weeks of more liquids and it doesn't get any better until you get on the different stages of texture etc.... You will get through it :) We all have and it wasn't easy but we did it. I actually chewed up a piece of pizza and spit it out....so I totally know what you are going through. Good luck to you!!

I am on day 5 of my liquid diet - I have to do it for 14 days. The first 2 days were the worst. Each day is getting better. I have found if I have 10 grams of protien about every two hours my hunger is so much more under control or if I drink a large glass of Water when I feel hungry then the Water will fill me up.

My Procedure day is on the 10th so we are both on the same track. Hang in there - we can do this - think about the end result!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
