It seems that every NUT is different and everyone is on a different diet schedule. So, my question is when did/can you start mushies and what are your mushies? I am at day 18 (sleeved 12/7) and I can start mushies on day 22 or starting my 4th week. My mushies are puddings, jellos, mashed potatoes, deli meats, yogurts, scrambled eggs, etc. Anyway, I am just curious because I am dying to take a bite, but I am such a rule follower. Thanks for any input.

I could start mushies about the same time. Mushies, purees, solid foods were all in one category for my guidelines. Anything that I could put in the blender, or chew to mush counted. chicken, tuna, egg salad and deli meat with cream cheese were my staples. I had refried or pinto Beans on occasion for some Fiber and different flavors. I added plain non-fat greek yogurt to anything and everything for added Protein.

I could have soft poached, scrambled, deviled eggs as well, but scrambled eggs (even at 18 months out) sit extremely heavy in my stomach regardless of how well I chew them. It doesn't hurt, but they did early out.

I guess it is different for everyone. I can start mushies on day 14. So, according to my doc, you could have them already :-)

Mine was

1st week = full liquid diet

2nd week = mushies and puree foods

3rd week = soft foods - anything I can separate with a fork without needing a knife

4th week = whatever I feel comfortable with

So far so good...

I am 18 days out and just started mushies...feeling good and no problems (fingers crossed) I have tried a small bit of fish and very cooked zucchini. Still not getting enough Protein but I am trying to get it in anywhere I can

The mushies scare me a little: I am losing very quickly now and I am afraid that if I introduce something other than Protein Shakes, my loss will slow, stop, or even **gasp** reverse...

Thoughts? Anyone start gaining after they started the mushies??

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
