How do you get get your Daily Fluids in?

Recommended Posts

Ok...I was sleeved Dec 1st and just graduated to mushies.....Yippee. I seem to be doing okay in getting in Protein but I am having difficulty in getting the recommend fluids in daily. My goal is 64 protein and 64 fluids. I work four days a week 8 am to 7 pm as customer service rep answering phones. I know we shouldn't drink 30 or so before or after meals. I try to keep a water bottle to sip but answering back to back calls, it is hard to get it done. Any suggestions?

When I went back to work, I went to Sonic and got a Route 44 oz cup of ice. I would fill it up with either crystal lite or Water and drank on that all day! That really helped me! :) If I was feeling lucky, I'd get a Rt 44 diet coke slush! :)

www.truelemon.com They have packets of crystallized lemon, lime, orange etc... you put into your Water. 0 calories and 0 sugar. Give it a try..I love it. I just went out today and bought 3 boxes of the lemon. Plus, I can not say enough about the Unjury unflavored. You can mix that with your Crystal light too for Protein.< /p>

It is really hard to keep up with the Water, that's no lie. I had a great deal of difficulty with this for the first month. I think I still do, to this very day - and I'm 3 months out now.

During the phase you are in I actually had to come up with new habits to remember to drink. Like, I'm sure there is a split second in between the calls - so when the new call is ringing, take a quick sip. That is how I do it here at work. I'm actually better now about getting all and more of my fluids in at work than anywhere else.

Now I just have certain Water bottles, that I must finish at certain times. Every morning while I'm getting ready for work, I drink up 20oz of water. It's like a part of my wardrobe. :)

I really am not into flavored drinks, but I did find water extremely unappealing for the first few weeks after surgery. I really liked propel, it had a very light, sweet taste for me and was easier to get it down.

HTH.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
