I am aiming for the end of January. no date as of yet going for my 2nd consult on tues. my insurance plan excludes anything weight loss related so i am self pay but I am staying hopeful!!!

islandmom, I'm scheduled for January 23rd, too!! Nice to find a comrade in surgical arms! I just got my date yesterday.

My very first post! I am a newbie that is just too excited, scared, thrilled, nervous (repeat in any given order) not to post. I am scheduled for VSG with Dr. Kim on January 9th. I am driving from 4 hours away so that goes to show how impressed I am with Dr. Kim and his staff. They have been nothing but accomodating. It took me a good year or so to finally comit to surgery but decided I would not waste the rest of my 30's living in this body. I don't have what is considered in the medical world as high BMI (36, but PLEASE don't take that as "bragging" because, honestly, being overwieght and unhealthy is being overwieight and unhealthy. I am so excited to start this journey!

10.27 - initial consult, barium swallow test, NUT consult

11.3 - psych evaluation

11.11 - submit to insurance

11.29 - insurance approval, surgery day set

12.23 - pre-op at hospital, cardiac stress test, nurse consult

12.26 to 1.9 - liquid diet

1.9 - surgery date

Just got my date! It's January 11th!!! I'm so excited!!!!!

So my doctor just submitted my paper last Friday so I'm praying for a quick answer!!! Please keep your fingers, toes and anything else crossed for me!!! I wanna be a January sleever soooo bad!!! My coordinator said it might be for the second or third week in january.

I have a surgery date!!! Jan 24!!!

I go on my liquid diet on the 28th. I have to go easy through the holidays. What I really want to find are some good clear broths to sip on. The stuff in the cans leaves a bit to be desired. I'm thing Thai chili lemon grass. Boy, I hope my sleeve loves spicy.

January 16th and I'm already freaking out!

I get my surgery on Jan,10th and so looking forward to get this done and get on my road to recovery and get this weight off.
