Hi, had my sleeve last Monday July 8th. Excitingly waiting for my first weigh in at doctor appt tomorrow. I don't feel thinner, still swollen but hopefully the scale moves.

Congratulations! And don't worry about the scale too much this early in the game. It doesn't always show a weight loss that soon. Besides, you should Celebrate regardless because you are on an awesome journey to better health now!!

Hey Everyone!!!

How is everyone doing on their journeys? I'm doing quite well. I hope all is well and happy to hear some activity on here!

Take care and much success to all!

TJ

Well I lost 13.6 pounds the first week so I celebrated with take out wonton soup, sans wonton. It was delish! Last night I went to fashion show (it's Swim Miami here this weekend) and got excited about possible suits next season. Hard because everyone was drinking and eating and I was sipping water. But tonight better, went for Pho and was so happy. How is everyone doing?

Hi everyone. Yes, I'm gay and recently sleeved. Starting weight at first office visit 299 was 286 when I went for surgery and one month later I am 256 so 43 lbs total so far :) confidence shot up even hit on a hottie at the bar and succeeded woot! Go me!

Surgery scheduled sept 3. Doc sent things to insurance assume all will be approved. Started pre op diet today. Hit a wall about 6:00. Should drink another shake but can't get another one down. Full. Will try for five meals tomorrow .'only got four down today. Geez. Didn't realize there was a LGBT site yay

Oh THANK GOD I was beginning to think I was the only gay in the house! Hey guys, I'm Alan. I am getting sleeved on Sept 10th. Anyone here from Atlanta?

Welcome aboard Alan! Feel free to reach out to us if you need anything. Sincerely, TJ

Welcome Alan I am from San Francisco I was sleeved in July 2012 just past my one year lost all of my weight in just 4 months and I have kept it off. I had my surgery in Tijuana Mexico Let me know if I can help in anyway

Thanks guys... it's been a pretty interesting journey so far. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I havent been sleeved yet but I have been approved and my surgery date is on Sept 10th. Im pretty excited and nervous all at the same time. I am stoked to find a LGBT section to spend some time in. I've been in the mens forum and all they ever want to talk about is their weiners, which dont get me wrong I am okay with but honestly I think those guys are just baiting the horny women that lurk in the mens section (which I find a little passive agreesive/creepy) but to each their own. lol
