Sweet taste in my mouth?

I had a strange sensation today. I woke up from a small nap and I had a sweet taste in my mouth. At that point I had only had refried Beans and cheese to eat in the day.

Anyone else experience something like this or is this totally not sleeve/weight loss related?

Hmm not a sweet taste, but acid in the back of my throat wakes me up at night. Maybe you have sweet acid? :)

I've been having a soury taste in my mouth, I guess it's acid, I dont take PPI's any more, 7 weeks out, but it doesn't really bother me (the starnge taste) and since I stopped taking them I'm hardly hungry anymore! Will ask my surgeon on thursday if i still need tto take them cause i ran out

The sweet taste can be caused from your body breaking down proteins for energy. Does your urine have a different odor also? I know that is a strange question, but that is usually the other way your body passes ketones. It is common when people switch to a high protein diet and diabetics.
