Bridesmaid dress dilemma

Recommended Posts

Ok y'all I know everyone is different when it comes to weight loss, but I need your help! I'm in a wedding November 20th and I'm having the sleeve done on August 27th...I tried on the bridesmaid dress tonight and the size 16 fit perfect! What size do you think I should order??? I won't hold you to it, I PROMISE:biggrin0:!!! I'm thinking a 14:confused1:??? Thank you!!!!

I think you are going to be smaller than 14 by then, BUT it's easier if it's too big and you just need to take it in at the tailors than if it's too small and you end up really uncomfortable. So I say, be conservative and pick a 14.

I've dropped a dress size in 7 weeks....I agree about the taking in, but I would also ask the dressmaker how much they can take in as well.... sometimes taking in more than one size can knock the whole shape of a dress out of place. Also ask if they can let out too... so you could possibly consider the 12??

You know it's so difficult for me to imagine being a 12 or smaller lol!!!! I have some items that are large 14's, but I haven't been a 12 for a looooooooooooong time, that would be incredible...sniff sniff. I will ask David's Bridal about letting out and if I feel there's not enough to let out, I will just order the 14 and tailor:thumbup:... Thanks for the 411. AND stay tuned I will post an "after" picture of me in the dress at the wedding:001_smile:.

Ok my peeps! I went with the size 14. I could only zip it up an inch or two, and the 12 forget about it LOL! They did say it's easier to take in than take out! The wedding is exactly 2 months after my surgery, keep your fingers crossed that the zipper goes all the way up and then some hahah! I promise to post a picture in November ;-).

Well done..... sounds about right I think.... I lost 4 inches off my bust in 2 months, so one size should be fine with extra taking in if needed.... good luck!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
