Anybody lose just a little hair?

Recommended Posts

I am seeing more and more hair when I wash my hair or run my fingers through it. I don't see big clumps of hair but it is still noticeable.

I am just wondering if this means I should just face the fact that I am going to be one of the ones who has problems with hairloss, or can you have just a slight Hair loss?

I started with a little hair loss at 4 months. By 5.5 - 6 months, I was loosing a lot. So much that my scalp burns being out in the sun, and my part is noticible. I started taking Protein supplements, and 3 weeks after, I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the Hair loss.

I never lost clumps, but I thinned out a lot, as most people report. When I wash and dry my hair, I would have hair in the tub, hair in my brush, on the floor and over my clothes when drying. Each time would make a nice nest for some bird!

In order to keep fullness in my thin hair, I use a good volumnizer.

I believe the Protein supplements really have helped (I just posted a new thread about what is the best way to incorporate these into my diet without jepordizing my weight loss).

Try not to let this get you down, and stay focused on your goal of weight loss. It is temporary and adding protein does help!

Hugs,

JoAnne

I'm at 5 1/2 months out. I've been losing very small amounts of hair. Certainly not clumps. But it has been noticeable to me. But I don't expect it will get worse and I know it is not noticeable to anyone but me.

I got tons of Protein, and took Biotin, zinc and anything else anyone told me to try. I used the Nixosin Shampoo and still lost over half my hair. It sucks, but it's growing back in!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
