10:30 tomorrow morning - surgery begins for sleeve

I'm headed to the hospital at 8:30 in the morning. I really did want to eat "real food" this afternoon, but stayed with the surgeon's request - just clear liquids. I thought he really would not want to see steak in my stomach in the morning (yuk!).

Whether you all realize or not you have been courage builders and sustainers as I moved through the process. Thanks to all.

Take care and I'll try to send an update later in the day tomorrow - my wonderful husband is never without his laptop and the hospital has WiFi. Diane

Good luck and best wishes for a smooth surgery and easy recovery!

Will be praying for you!

Looking forward to your updates too.

Diane, I'll keep you in my thoughts for a smooth surgery and recovery. Stay positive, breathe, and when you can update us.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I was on a 1000 calorie a day diet pre-op, but the last week i said goodbye to all my favorite foods. KFC, Japanese Food, Popcorn, Fajitas, Filet Mignon, and PASTA. Anyway, i tried to stay mum about it to my surgeon, and when he asked the question, my partner blurted out, oh he has been on a whirl wind tour of saying goodbyes to all his favorite foods. Busted.

Good luck Diane..Hope u have a speedy recovery..looking 4 updates too...Take care.. Remember the golden rule 'SIP, WALK, SIP,WALK'
