My hubby is going with me to the spa today! I am so excited we are just about to leave. I am super nervous about my surgery on Tuesday, 3 days and counting! So Gareth has offered to buy me a spa package and one for himself as well! haha! perks of having a metrosexual husband i guess! anyway I am off for some relaxation.

Have a great time!! I talked my dh into a pedicure one day. We were out of town so he felt safe he wouldn't know anyone. Of course, I took a photo and shared it with the world!!

We have done the spas on cruise ships before and he enjoys the massages, relaxation rooms, etc.

I go to a Korean spa nearby but it is women only. They have awesome facilities; part is used wearing a medical type gown, the rest is birthday suit. I have convinced many friends to join me there. I just tell them that there will always be someone bigger than you and someone smaller than you. Just relax and enjoy! They always love it : ) I am planning to go again in the next week or two. Warned my husband to set some money aside a few days ago!

You deserve to do something nice for yourself! Very cool that your hubby went along with you!

Good luck with your surgery. You'll be waking up in recovery before you know it. How smart of you to plan a spa day to help you relax. I had to remove all nail polish pre-op and couldn't wait to get back for a pedicure and manicure! I'm thinking it's about time for a good massage.

What a wonderful idea! Just make sure to have them only buff your nails so you don't have to sacrifice any lovely nail polish! LOL

It was a great day! We both had a massage, facial, and mani/pedi's. I did clear polish since I figured they would take it off in the hospital. I am very relaxed and can't wait until Tuesday. It is amazing how excited I am getting. I wish I had scheduled for Monday because I am so ready for it to be done and start my journey to a new skinny life. I am hardly even nervous anymore just very ready. I might get more nervous again when Tuesday rolls around. We will see. However, tomorrow may not be as fun as we are going to Easter dinner at my parents house and I can't actually eat anything. haha

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
