Just wondering who had surgery around the same time that I did and how much weight you had lost as well as how you were doing in general.

Hi Ishary!

I posted a review of my first month this morning. Today marks the start of my second month. I'm down 18.2 pounds for the month. It looks like you're doing fantastic! Congratulations.

I was sleeved on 1/25 and i am down nearly 40 lbs. I suffer daily from chronic diarrhea. It sucks. Otherwise, most foods go down fine and as long as I keep my carbs at 30g or below, I will continue to lose. I am working out every day as well as training for a race in May. Very excited about that. How are you doing?

I was sleeved 1/25 and as of my 7-week mark this past Monday, was down exactly 26 lbs. since surgery, and 37.5 overall. I've had absolutely zero problems (well, other than the plumbing getting stopped up on a regular basis), have tolerated everthing I've eaten, and feel great!

I had surgery 1/27 & have lost 29.2 pounds as of this morning - 7 weeks out. I wanted that 0.8 gone, but I guess I can't be TOO greedy! My energy levels are getting back to normal & life is feeling pretty good right now. I did do a post yesterday about my calories creeping closer to 800 (range is 600-800), but I think I'm probably overanalyzing it. Pre-Surgery, I wouldn't dream of complaining about being at 800 calories per day. LOL

I was revised from band to sleeve on Jan. 8. I'm down 20/lbs and walk on the 'dreadmill' about 2 miles a day. Feeling great. My weight loss has been slower because I'm only 10/lbs away from goal.

Wow Marie! I had surgery the same day as you and I'm down 18 pounds. Did you lose any of those 40 pounds pre-op or all since surgery? I'd love to know what you're eating and what your exercise is. Do you do Protein supplements?

Curious girls want to know!:smile1:

i had my surgery February 25 and I have lost 32 pounds- 22 since the surgery and 10 preop. I am doing well, just starting on more soft solids like tuna and chicken salad. Good to hear from other people just getting started.

You are! But honestly, there is such a wide range of where people are that anything could be pretty normal. I try not to compare, but it is so hard. It is just like kids-I know I am not supposed to compare my daughter to her classmates but of course I do!

I had surgery on February 1, and have lost, as of today... 25 lbs. I'm very happy with this, and am feeling very good. In fact, compared to my lap-band (and band removal) surgeries, I feel GREAT! Have been trying to exercise (I'm not consistent, but am working on it), have been watching my Protein mostly, and water... but not paying super close attention to everything else. This seems to be working for me... Sounds like you're doing great, and I wish you (and all of us early 2010 sleevsters) the best!:smile::smile:

I was sleeved Jan. 26 and have lost 26lbs since surgery. Anything I eat goes down just fine, even nuts which made me happy. I feel totally normal and sometimes forget I even have the sleeve now. I'm hungry all the time though, so I hope that dies down eventually.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
