  1. Windsor - I love those Premier Nutrition protein shakes from Costco too...they are the BEST!!!!
  2. I was sleeved on January 27, and I have lost 35 pounds to date. LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!
  3. Congratulations...and welcome to the loser's bench!!! Your experience sounded much like mine (except for the Hoover Dam thing...I don't know that I would have been up for that!) :thumbup1: The pain pump Dr. Umbach uses was AWESOME! He was my surgeon as well (Mini-Me and I went there together and were sleeved on Jan 27). He is AWESOME! Keep us posted on your progress. Joann
  4. I would have to agree with the hormonal PMS "thing". I was just talking to Mini-Me this afternoon about some things that were bothering me, and under normal circumstances, they wouldn't phase me at all. Gosh...I better stop PMSing or my kids and boyfriend are also going to join Mini-Me's husband and boys at the hotel!!! :drool5:
  5. Congratulations on your sleeve date Anna! I am so excited for you and look forward to having another sleeve sister!!! Please keep us posted...and yes...the date will be here sooner than you think! Good Luck! Joann
  6. My surgeon used a 36, and it seems to be doing well for me.
  7. Hey Mini-Me ~ I ordered a sample packet of the unjury chicken broth when I got the chocolate Protein shake from them. I'll bring it into work tomorrow and we can try it. Also, I found another Protein shake at costco today -- 30 grams of protein in 12 oz...I'll bring one of those in for you to taste as well. I thought it was pretty good and needed some sort of protein since I used all my Unjury chocolae protein shake and my order isn't here yet. I'm sorry you are going through this...I'm fortunate at this point since I don't mind the Protein shakes and I am able to get 70+ grams of protein a day now. We'll talk tomorrow! Love ya sleeve sista!!!
  8. You go girl!!! I'm so excited for you...CONGRATS!!!!!!
  9. That's good to know...I have the rumblings too and just have VSG on 1/27...I was hoping that they would eventually go away. Thanks for the info!
  10. Mini-Me ~ you are so funny! It is strange how some people have blue dye in their urine like you, some don't have hardly any at all (like me), and others have blue stools. ...especially for you and I...same surgeon...same procedure...same day...TOTALLY different smurfett response! :001_rolleyes:
  11. Hi Laura ~ welcome to VST! I am also getting sleeved on Jan 27....cannot wait! You will need to keep us posted on your progress.
  12. Bambi ~ I am so right there with you! I keep reading and re-reading and just am not so sure how I am going to get it all organized in my mind. One thing I did tonight thougth was to go and buy a journal so I can start documenting my journey as I started my 2 week pre-op diet today. I am going to write down the key information regarding supplements, Vitamins, Protein powder recommendations, etc., etc., etc. Then I am going to do the same in my journal the day before surgery -- putting into writing what the "plan" is that I am going to follow. Not sure how well this will work, but I'm hoping it does the trick! Anyways...good luck on the 27th! That is my surgery date as well!!!
  13. Wow TennJenn...that is absolutely FANTABULOUS!!!! I'm so happy for you! What an inspiration you are! :001_smile:
  14. I absolutely love the "gas....ummmm..."issue"...that's a great way to put it out there that would make it be something no one asks you about! Good luck! BTW...I so appreciate this forum and the openness about issues...what a great support! :001_smile: Joann
  15. Hey ~ I'm another January 27th'er. I am traveling to Las Vegas with Mini-Me and we are having our surgeries same day; same doctor. We are going to be sleeved by Dr. Thomas Umbach. SO EXCITED! And...it's nice to "know" others who are starting their journey the same time - 3 for the 27th; 1 for the 26th. Also...I want to say that I very much appreciate all the feedback on this forum! I love to read about the successes, and like to have the reality view of the struggles that are there as well. ...to all of you VSG'ers...here's to ALL OF YOU!!! < wine toast > :hurray:
