Recommended Posts

darn. i hate my new mouse. just wrote up this big long thing about what to do and not to do and feeling guilty for now following my pre-op diet religiously and blah blah blah... Well, I hit the darn side button on my mouse I lost that whole rant... Well, needless to say, the last thing I left with was that should just stop typing because I was freaking myself out.... LOL...

Later! Keep me in your thoughts and/or prayers! surgery is on Saturday and I am on my way to Dominican Republic as we speak...

Ok all, I am giong POST op!!!!

Hi all,

I am through with the surgery and in the hotel. Sweet hotel and excellent room! I will take pics.

I am doing excellent. The hospital staff said I was their best patient all year long (LOL); The doctor said that everything went off without a hitch AND they are even going to give me a DVD of my surgery... Ugh and cool at the same time.

I have a checkup on Wednesday to get the drain out and to double check the stiches. Overall, I think it was a relatively easy recovery for me, so far.

I don't have international cell phone access just yet, but am working with my cousin to get a cell phone with international calls available. For now, if anyone wants to get in touch with me, I am at:

The Domnican Fiesta Hotel $ Casino

Tel: 809-562-8222 (just dial 1-#)

Hotel Room: #438

Otherwise, I will keep up with email.

Later everyone!

E. Aimee Bauer

P.s. OMG My doc was gorgeous and had this deep sexy voice!!! lol...made it worthwhile!

Wow, I am jealous! I am so glad it went well. Do you plan on watching the DVD now? I don't know if I would want to see mine....

I plan on watching the DVD much later. I want to be feeling good, have all drains and stitches out and the like before I venture into seeing myself being mutilated! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
