I have a small problem:(

m! After being too tight then too loose!!!:( i am finally in the green zone ...i think ...which is amazing!!!!!:D

I don't get hungry only after 4-5hrs and i can eat anything but in the right portion :)

The problem is recently my band has been playing tightening games with me lol

for example in the morning am toooo tight i can just drink Water, tea and a Protein shake...but then in the afternoon am tight but not as much (food can go down abit, only a few bites though) and sometimes nothing at all as The band gets too tight!!!

On the other hand!!! Around 8:00pm my band loosens and I can eat without any problem anything!!! don't feel tight at all but have abit of restriction.... Why isit doing this? Does this only happen to me?

This has been happening to me ever since I had a fill of 0.6cc a week ago..... So now I have 8.3cc in my 10cc band.

Also am I in the green zone or do I need a fill?

Thanks:( xx

The band tightness will vary from day to day. You state that you think you are in the green zone and yet you ask if we think you need a fill. Why would you need a fill when you are in the green zone?

You are looking for your band to stop you from eating, it's not designed to do that. Sorry but it seems like you are TOO TIGHT ALREADY, you can't get down but liquids for Breakfast, and mostly lunch, and you want the band to restrict you to liquids and two bites for dinner too?

You are looking for a miracle, the band is a tool, be grateful that you have the restriction that you have and work with it, before issues start to happen, because your band is too tight based on what you are describing.

If you can eat ANYTHING at dinner, eat healthy veggies and Proteins, I am sure you probably cannot eat broccoli and a piece of grilled chicken.

The band is not about restricting you to liquids and junk food, its job is to restrict healthy solid food and keep your hunger at bay, if you are eating two bites of food at lunch (sometimes) and nothing goes down at Breakfast but liquids, this sounds like you are already teetering in the red zone.

This is why they call it the green zone, which can range from a bit tight to a little loose some days.....Restriction will NEVER BE PERFECT, and it will vary day by day, depending on what you eat, how much you eat, and your body, ebb and flow, there IS NO PERFECT WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY.

Thanks guys...that helped alot... Yh restriction does vary day to day with me.. It changes with the weather, mood, TOM, stress.. Just everything has influence on it!

ok I will be more careful :( am glad am not alone in this!! :) well am not sure what the green zone as I was always too tight or too loose so now that I don't get hungry only every 4-5hours I thought I reached the green zone.... Yh for breakfast it's so hard to have anything but liquids but dinner it feels soo much looser. I don't think am extremely tight like red zone tight... as I can drink liquids...thick smoothies and shakes for breakfast...Thank god!! yh you r right.. no wls surgery is perfect I guess.... If anyone experiences anything similar please share it!! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
