Just got my band today

And I'm surprisingly in almost no pain? I can walk, have a little gas pain in my shoulder but that went away with moving around. Did anyone else experience this? I'm hoping the pain doesn't come big time tomorrow!

I got banded yesterday I was in no pain yesterday as u said but day #2 I'm feeling it I have a pain pump in and the medicine is in a fanny type bag hanging from my neck which is annoying but it comes out Thursday praise The Lord lol I still can't believe I actually have a band now super crazy :) hope fully u will have not so much pain good luck!!

I was banded yesterday and have much less pain than I thought. I can get up and down pretty well, I even slept in my bed last night. I was expecting to sleep in the recliner. Not too shabby. I want to keep coughing, I'm assuming gunk in lungs from the breathing tube, and that doesn't feel good. Other than that, the pain is not to bad. I'm even working from home today.

I am very thirsty though. I want to down my Water in one chug, but I am making myself sip it. I'm impatient so this is quite the learning curve.

I am having the same problems! When I'm thirsty I need water NOW! I'm on day three, a little pain, I drove around today and went to the grocery store. Just taking it nice and easy - it gets easier!

I had surgery on the 27th. I am having quite alot of pain right under my boobs. The incision feels like its going to bust open when i try to stand up or sit back. My stomach muscles are so sore.

I had my surgery on the 21st and I was in a lot of pain as well. I couldn't take in any liquids what so ever! I was extremely tight!! And hurting bad. I call my dr office twice they first told me to get some Prilosec - it helped just a little so I called back.... They sent me to see if there was Fluid in my band ( dr said no) and they ended up taking some fluids out and there was a 90% improvement immediately.

I feel the same way all my pain is under my boobs toward the center left side of my stomach went for my post op follow up this morning and he said its gas which I figured so I walk every chance I get

I'm 24 hours post op and I feel like I've been hit by a truck and I'm starving lol hopefully a nap a shower and some broth will help

Just try to rest as your body needs to adapt and adjust to this new object. Just sip Water constantly as dehydration is a killer ! ...I know your hungry but don't try to eat , the pain but also you don't want to cause the band to slip x it took about 7 days for me to start feeling human again ( but that was partly my fault when I didn't drink enough) but if your at all worried call your center and have a chat

Hi Stivers, I was l banded two weeks ago today. I was like you. A lot of pain both gas and muscles. I could barely sit up by myself. The good news is it gets better!!! Every day you feel an improvement. Hang in there.

I am back at work today - four days post op! 1 pm and I'm EXHAUSTED. I'm shocked at how often I'm hungry and how little it takes to fill me up. 4 bites and I'm good for another 2 hours, but man...when I'm hungry it hits me quickly! Does this get any better? I work in manufacturing and travel a lot, so it's definitely a mental thinking change for me to instead have food available right when I need it.
