Just got my band today

And I'm surprisingly in almost no pain? I can walk, have a little gas pain in my shoulder but that went away with moving around. Did anyone else experience this? I'm hoping the pain doesn't come big time tomorrow!

I had my band dine in Tuesday and felt perfect all day. ..went home Wednesday and felt some pain and gas but not unbearable. Thursday I felt fine as well...but today I actually felt really hungry. .I did notice that I didn't drink alot of water throughout and woke up dehydrated so I think that's the problem. ...I would like to point out that while I b was being diligent about drinking water I would weigh myself every time I went to urinate and literally every time I would be down a pound....so far im down from 327lbs when I came home on Wednesday to 311lbs. So I think its safe to say drinking water helps

I was banded Aug9th and here is what I have learned- when the veterans on this board tell you to take the time to heal, you need to make you getting back on your feet the priority. My first week was so painful and I went back to work too quickly. Surgery Friday and worked a full day and two hour commute on Monday. Nothing is as important as allowing your body to heal.

I have also learned to follow the recommended stages of the diet to the t. You cannot have regular food right after surgery. Yes, you are starving but don't do it. Suck up that gross tasting broth and get thru it when you are allowed full fluids, that protein shake will taste like manna from on high When I got to mashies, that cottage cheese tastes like the best pizza I have evr eaten. Now I am on real food and I will admit that I am nervous. BUT, I am going to follow the lead of the veterans on this board and my doc and dietician and follow the plan. This is a lie change and I am committed to changing my life!

I get to do protein shakes and creamed soup on Monday ! I can't wait! Thank you for the feedback! I'm commited to making This work!

Just you wait too see how good they taste lol.....I had scrambled egg with cheese and Beans last night and pepper....I don't even like scrambled egg, it took me half hour to eat 6 spoonfuls of food....but boy was it like finding an oasis in the desert !....lip smacking, yum munching food ! ...

Mmmmm I love scrambled eggs and cheese can't wait! Starving lol

The worse bit now is I know that I am starting to eat again I will regain some weight I have lost over the last 3 weeks as my body readjust :-( ...but gona stay bread - Pasta - potatoe - rice free till 1 October and see if I can maintain weight loss before I start to re-introduce :-)

I had pain under my left boob and in my left shoulder. Take some Windeze, peppermint tea or peppermint cordial, move around as much as you can. If you lie on your side, this will shift the wind and you should be able to pass it. Also a hot water bottle helps. It will pass though, particularly when you start eating mushy food.

Good Luck :) x

Just had my band 2 days ago. . . The best thing I could have ever done. . . From the moment I got home I walked around my house at first 15 mins. Now I am.up to 1/2 hour. . . But my life saver has been the Gas X melts . . . I actuallu took one as soon as I woke up.from surgery. I have not experienced pain at all or any nausea or vomiting thus.far Thank you Jesus! But walking is the key at least for me ,but You will feel it in your muscles each day. . . I look at it as I'm getting a jump on my movement that they keep telling us about. . .good luck.to.all the Banders out there I lok forward to hearing and seeing all our journeys to a healthier and better US!!

Best wishes on your new band!

update :) im feeling alot better. Doc ok mushy food for me yesterday. I have lost 20 pre op and after. I have stalled though and i still haven't been eating much. Kinda disappointing. Anyone else hit this pre fill plateau ? i need some encouragement!

It's not a plateau unless it's at least one month.
