I had surgery on the 26th of August and my first fill was a week ago today I have now lost 40 pounds since surgery !!!!!!!!! I already feel restriction from the fill and feel great!!!! I would do this surgery over and over again I had no problems and have completely redone my life I eat totally different no Cokes no breads and walk 2 miles a night I'm loving my new life

Ur first fill is nerve racking and exciting I didn't know what was going to happen or how it was going to feel but it's nothing I love my lap band I wish u so much luck

I'm still going to his Etown office for now their last day there is the 21st of January so after that I will have to go to Louisville in which I am not looking forward to but gotta do what ya gotta do lol

Congrats u look great!!!! I had surgery 8/26/13 and I now have 7cc's in my band and am down 58 pounds I'm loving the banded life

I know have 7cc's in my 14cc band iv had 3 fills so far and am down 58 pounds

I was also banded at baptist east by dr oldham

I live in Sonora from larue co work in Etown I was banded 8/26/13 and have lost 58 pounds as of today

Thanks guys!!! Good luck on ur surgery u will do fine I was soooooo nervous before mine but had no issues but I did exactly to the T what I was told to never cheated I think that's the trick!

Welps I officially turned my house healthy tonight!!! We went to Kroger and got turkey everything (bacon, ground turkey, sausage) I even went thru my house and gave all my fattening foods to a friend who has twins who could use some help!! Today I get to have mashed potatoes sweet potatoes and cottage cheese sooo I am having sweet potatoe fries tonight yum!!! I am one week post op and have already lost 25 pounds (including my pre op diet about 15 post op) and I go back to work tomorrow and I'm feeling fantastic needless to say I'm loving my band so far

I am on different foods daily I add something new today is sweet potatoes and oatmeal. I also can have sugar free puddings apple sauce and low fat yogurt mashed potatoes and soft cooked veggies and I am one week and one day post op (obviously was banded the 26th) lol I have found on this forum that every doctor and post and also pre op diets are different DRASTICALLY different good luck

Just ate them and they r yummy!!!!!!! And I made them were they weren't so crunchy everything went down fine and stayed down

Thanks for the concorn I have found that every doctor is different I called the office this morning and asked if I could have them and they explained to chew well and I would be fine but eat slowly so we shall see

I feel the same way all my pain is under my boobs toward the center left side of my stomach went for my post op follow up this morning and he said its gas which I figured so I walk every chance I get

I got banded yesterday I was in no pain yesterday as u said but day #2 I'm feeling it I have a pain pump in and the medicine is in a fanny type bag hanging from my neck which is annoying but it comes out Thursday praise The Lord lol I still can't believe I actually have a band now super crazy hope fully u will have not so much pain good luck!!

Well I'm banded and still alive!!!!! Lol not in too much pain just my abdomen and back because the gas but over all I'm ok getting up and walking every 45 mins is gettin annoying but better safe than sorry with blood clots! IM OFFICIALLY ON THE OTHER SIDE NOW

I'm laying in the hospital bed now getting rdy to go back iv handed this over to god now so lets do this and prayers for everyone else who is getting banded today!!!!

I'm anxious abd nervous at the same time it's been a long time Comin I can't believe it's actually here!!! Say a couple prayers for me and my nerves if ya can lol

Thanks for the prayers and advise this is my first tome goin under so I'm a little nervous of that but I am quite excited

I go tomorrow at 545am I'm kinda anxious and nervous but great news that urs went with no problems

I'm getting so anxious and excited!!! I was nervous at first but that has changed I'm just excited!!!! Can't wait to be on the other side of this!!!!! I have been on my pre op diet for 2 weeks now with shakes and clear liquids only and have lost an amazing 22 pounds already I can't wait to see what the surgery brings!! I get hungry at times and not chewing actual food is idk how to discribe it lol weird I guess it's just mental I think but overall I feel great really!! It takes me back to being a kid and ppl always said u r what u eat I think it's so true now!! Before I would have had McDonald's for lunch a large Pepsi at about 2pm to get me thru the day and some kind of nasty carb loaded supper but all that is gone now and I can deff tell a difference!! I also quit smoking for the surgery I am 1 month and 4 days smoke free now I really think this surgery is a blessing in disguise for me!!!!! BTW I love this forum and seeing everyone's experiences with the lap band such a great thing!!!!!

Thx guys!!! The 2 weeks has been a little rough but not as bad as I thought I just want some food food ya know lol even if its a peice of chicken lol I did cheat one day but it was with a 6oz steak which was protein and my doc said that was ok since I kinda "had" to since it was my one yr anniversary I mean what do u do if u don't go to a nice dinner on ur anniversary this is something I deff have to work on!! Finding different things to do for celebrations besides eating I live in the south and when someone gets married birthdays funerals graduations whatever it may be we eat and usually bad stuff lol so this is going to be hard work but I am so ready to take the bull by the horns and do this I'm ready to enjoy being 23 and not be embarrassed of my body so glad there is an option of the lap band out there to help boost weight loss for folks like us

I HAVE MINE MONDAY THE 26th!!!!!!
