Banded for just over a year

I have been banded for just over a year and for the first 11 months everything was great. I have lost 75lbs and completely changed the way I eat. I am healthier than I have ever been. Unfortunately, the last few months have been difficult - I have had terrible acid reflux that makes sleeping almost impossible and eating very difficult. I have had two de fills and am on prescription medication for the reflux but nothing seems to be working. Any thoughts?

I had reflux several weeks during the night last winter. I was up spitting and sitting up and finally thought about what I was really doing in the evening. Then I tried eating my calories earlier in the day and nothing during the 4 or 5 hours before bedtime. I concluded I had too much in my pouch when I was laying down and gravity was letting it level out. Anyway I got over the backing up of the contents. I didn't go to the Bariatric center as it was winter & I live many miles away. Maybe

I have been to the clinic to have a few de fills, and they don't think it is a slip but if it doesn't clear up soon they will set up an x-ray for me to make sure.

I will try eating earlier in the evening....although nothing has really changed in my eating habits (from the first 11 months when everything was okay) which is why I am a bit concerned.

Some people with reflux put blocks under the head of the bed to create a slight angle. Wheat allergies are becoming very common so there could be a food sensitivity going on -- maybe take away wheat for a while and see what happens? Celiac & company do not always show up on tests. Meanwhile, congratulations on your weight loss and don't worry -- you will get this figured out!
