I was just banded last Tuesday. The port is easy to feel and you could tell there is a little bit of a bump there. Does this show more an more as you lose weight? I am already down 22 lbs between my pre op diet and first week still on Clear Liquids. I am wondering what the port will look like as I go on considering it is already noticeable.

Mine has stayed about the same, but I am only down 30 pounds. I am also down 6 inches overall, but it has not become any more prominent as that has changed.

I'm down 25 pounds, and can't see the port through my skin. I can certainly feel it when I press that area, though.

I've read posts of people saying that their ports visually stick out. I also know that there are two types of ports; the standard one (which is mostly done at the time of surgery), and now they have a low profile port. I've known a couple of people who had their ports changed to a low profile, after they'd lost all of their weight.

I think it also depends where the port is placed. Mine is about 1/2 inch below my belly button, and off to the left. He strategically placed it there, based on my anatomy. I can't imagine seeing it stick out there, but time will tell.

I lost almost 80 lbs and all I can see is the brown scare from it.

Same here, down 80+ and just a scars line. I can feel it if I try, but it is not noticeable.

I can only feel it, but if I kinda bend down a little bit and to the side it moves a little bit, LOL.

I'm probably still swollen from the surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
