i have had alot of nsv's and happy moments since banding.....

but there is one that stands out.....that made me go wow

was it being able to put on a seat belt and not cut my head off

put my socks on

put on foot on my other knee

wipe my butt

wearing xl from a 5x

getting under 300

no, it was when i was able to walk around the block

i wanted to be able to push my granddaughter around the block

and when i could.....that realization made me go, yeah, this is so worth it

Oh you said to name one thing sorry I put 3 lol

Being able to shop in REGULAR STORES!

No more plus size shops for me!

Whoooohooooo!!

Simple things that skinny people take for granted every day because they are just part of life.

It will always amaze me how before wls I would get all shaky and irritable if I didn't eat and now I can and do live on 1000 cal a day without any problem.

It amazes me when I catch a glance at myself in a reflection of a glass door or window and I don't disgust myself.

I can walk in a room and by far not be the heaviest one there.

Running a 9 min mile average.

Fitting in a booth at a restaurant.

Bending down to pick something up without having to do that wide leg squat thing.

Putting my wedding ring back on and having it now slide all over the place

Being skinnier than my husband

Running! I've started to have a love affair with my treadmill~ his name is Charlie. He gets me all sweaty, keeps me moving and makes me want to keep going back for more. ;)

LOVE it!

MinMi - your post really resonates with me; all of it, except being smaller than my husband....not quite there yet :-) My wedding rings are spinning around my finger, when before I thought that I'd have to cut them off. That whole shaky blood sugar thing - WOW, that's a huge one! And now that you mention it, I've had only one bout of it since surgery. Getting healthy feels GREAT!!!

We look forward to hearing it :)
