Offensive and inappropriate ads on this site

I accidentally posted this in the wrong category so i'm reposting this here

Today I was browsing the site and I noticed an ad that showed a picture of a woman's (extremely large) rear end with the words "give ugly girls a chance, they need love too!" (website: f-sluts.net)

uhhh... I was kinda offended!!

I quite frankly would expect more class from a website like this

Hi lap. I responded to your other post, but figured I'd reply to this one as well. I am on this site religiously. And I have never once seen an inappropriate add. Never anything sexual at all. I'm sure the add you saw was a fluke. Every web site can get hacked. And the hacked adds wont show on everyone's browser. I can honestly say you shouldn't have that problem often on here.

Never even had a banner on this site even close to something like that

It is my understanding that those ads are based on your previous browsing history. I wouldn't know as I have never seen an ad on this site.

Could be a virus.

Previous poster is correct. Ads pop up based on personal interests/browsing history/your demographics. Not that you were browsing "those kind of sites" but perhaps the algorhythm picked up something about weight or weight loss and that ad was generated.

Adspace on sites can feature random ads, not necessarily known by the site itself. While there is bought ad space on LBT, there is also space on this site for these random ads to pop up.

Ads are generated from previous search results and history. Not implying that you are visiting those sites, but do you share a computer with anyone else? Maybe a family member, roommate, or significant other?

Sites like this don't control ads, they sell space to advertising programs that give you ads they feel you would be interested in, they don't get there by accident. Just use a program like adblock and it removes all ads.

ad block will fix that problem..
