Congrats on being banded! I haven't had that issue yet, but I'm sure I will the first few times too. I'm only 7 days post op. I'm sure we all will go through that over eating phase and realize what we can and can't eat and how fast of slow we need to eat, it's prob bc of the full too. Good luck to you and congrats again on taking the first step towards a new life. :)

That's awesome. Is that lost weight since your surgery or with pre op? I was banded on 2-14 and have only lost 15 since surgery, and 20 pre op. just curious since I feel like 15 since surgery is not enough. Haven't had a fill yet.

It will pass! Lesson learned, measure your food. I am a year post op and still measure my food. The eye is not very good in the measuring department. lol

Your body will let you know when it is hungry again, just listen to it. If doing liquids makes you feel better then go for it, but I don't think you hurt anything and need to do liquids.

It is a learning experience. remember the first feeling you got before you felt over fill, that was your soft stop. Next time, stop when you feel that.

Good luck to you.

PS I am still learning, it never ends. ;)

When I go food shopping and buy meats, fish, chicken, I have the butcher etc. weigh my food and then I have the right amounts. I don't measure my salads and I usually have one every day. But then I don't use dressing on it either.

You will do fine. If a tuna can says 6 oz, divide it in 1/2. I always divide, like when I make meat balls (I am tomorrow) I know I have one pound of meat and that is 4 meals worth. My husband doesn't eat meat, he has turkey balls.

You will get the hang of it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
