Got banded 4/25/2012 and only lost 30 lbs. Yesterday I went to the doctor's office and got another fill of 1cc. That makes a total of 2cc in my band. Hopefully my weight loss will go up.

Any loss is a good loss. Your Dr sounds very conservative. If this fill doesn' t work I would insist on another fill in a month. 7 mths between fills , presuming you had one at 6wks,seems along time.

Hi Anume..I'm curious as to why it took so long to get a fill? Did you have regular aftercare? Was it your decision or your Dr's?

I dont' know that I would have been able to go so long without a fill...I was just ravenous before I got to my sweet spot, which is only 5.0 in a 10 AP Lapband.

I heard that! I also have a 10cc AP Lapband, had 3cc fill at 6wks and appt Jan 6 for second fill. I'm ready! lol

Hope I can hit that spot at 5cc.

I was wondering same thing. I thinking maybe you weren't ready at the time but now are. Let the band work WITH you if you are straving in less the 4-5 hours between measls there is not enough in your band. my doctor will give them every 14 days until it starts to react correctly. I can not eat more and I love that if I do it feels like I just ate Thanksgiving dinner and it was my last really miserable I love that about my band and so glad I did it...keep us infored of your progess we are here to help and share.

oh I have a 10 cc band with 6.5 in it and it is a sweet spot for me.
