Pb/puking Sorry, Tmi

Recommended Posts

Soo yesterday evening dinner was a Healthy Choice meal. It had beef tips and veggies and red potato wedges in it (with the skin on). So the potato skins got stuck and I started to PB (which has happened a couple of times before, just the PB not with potato skins). This time however it was a full out puke not just the normal the usual PB with normal slime. Has anyone had this happen before?? or should I be concerned. I felt fine later and didn't have any symptoms of a stomach flu. Obviously I need to make sure that my potatoes are sans skins in the future. Any thoughts?? Thanks!

Eating too big a bit or too fast will cause this as well. Sounds like the potatoes got stuck. Hope you are feeling better.

That's usually how it gets stuck, but I was taking my time yesterday, so I think it was actually the potato skins that did it. I felt fine a couple of hours later. Just not used to actually getting sick. I've had a couple of PB's before but not like that. Will not be doing that meal again. I must say the learning experiences with the band are definitely lessons I won't repeat.

I had a very similar thing happen to me about six weeks ago. It was a Sunday evening around 7 pm, I had cooked dinner for everyone and made a salad for me, I had about a tablespoon of red kidney Beans in the fridge so I tossed them through the salad and so looking forward to it as I was hungry and hadn't eaten for about six hours. I didn't taste any foods whilst cooking for my family. Dished up their dinner. I picked out one bean from the salad, chewed well then swallowed. I went to bathroom before starting my dinner, washed my hands and as I'm about to walk out the door I start to get really really hot, I ripped my top off as I thought I was going to explode from the heat, then I got this oh no km going to pass out feeling so I threw myself on my bed and breathed deeply, after a minute it was like omg I'm going to throw up and it was full on gut wrenching throwing up from below the band, it was painful, nothing came out as I had nothing in my stomach. The only thing I noticed when rinsing my mouth was a tiny peel from the bean. So I'm assuming that's what did it. Didn't end up eating as I was so sore and swollen for about two days, all I could tolerate was Water. My pa said it was probably the skin from one stupid bean, I can't even look at any sort of bean now still after all this time but I did drop three pounds in those few days, yes I know not a good way to loose.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
