In Need Of A "unconventional" Mentor? ???

Don't adjust your screen, you read this correctly, I was banded in 2006 and have successfully lost, and kept off 170 lbs....and outside of the liquid diet, I discovered a way to still enjoy the same exact foods that got me to enormous proportions, and shed the exta me... I'm more then happy to take anyone who honestly knows eating "Healthy " isn't parts of your vocabulary, as a pupil, mentee, minion, you get the idea, be warned, I'm without a doubt, a few sammiches shy of a picnic, a few volts dim of a watt, in laymen terms, Crazy! So if your curious, serious, and want a Fun mentor, look no further... you have been forewarned!

4 years ago? I'm lucky I can remember 4 days ago... see and you still lost weight!

This is beginning to sound like Dr. T and the Women!

Very amusing thread lol.

Sounds like you have some good advice to give out Steve and a great attitude.

Exercise was the key for me and I try to not to be so strict with myself and eat "normal" and not all dietish all the time but I have some sort of fear of gaining the weight back. Your recipes sound like a good place to get started a bit.

Ok steve! Carabbas.. mama's chicken soup.. GO! lol.. I started zumba at home.. i do it for 30mins..whooped my ass!!! and now my knee's hurt.. lol .. :(

40 celery ribs 32 medium carrots, peeled 8 large yellow onion, 16 medium potatoes, peeled 8 large green bell pepper 8 cans (14 ounce size) imported Italian plum tomatoes, 40 pounds chicken, washed and cut into 8 pieces 4 cups chopped fresh Italian parsley 16 cloves garlic, finely chopped 48 quarts water salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • Author

directions: Dice celery, carrots, onion, potatoes and bell pepper into 1/4-inch pieces. Chop tomatoes; reserve all juice. Place vegetables, tomatoes with their juice, chicken pieces, parsley and garlic in a 10-quart stockpot. Add Water. Season with salt and pepper. Slowly bring soup to a boil over low heat. Skim off foam that rises to the surface; may have to skim 2 or 3 times. Partially cover pot and simmer 2 hours. When soup is finished, remove chicken pieces with a slotted spoon. Let cool.

Meanwhile, mash vegetables in the bottom of the pot with the back side of a large cooking spoon or a potato masher. When chicken has cooled enough to handle, remove skin and bones and return meat to soup.

Ingredients 8 - 12 Fresh Mushrooms 1 6 ounce can of clams, drained and finely minced (save 1/4 cup of clam juice for stuffing) 1 green onion, chopped fine (about 1 tablespoon) 1 egg, beaten 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs 1 teaspoon oregano leaves 1 tablespoon melted butter (cooled) 2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon finely grated Romano cheese 2 tablespoons finely grated mozzarella cheese (for stuffing) 1/4 cup finely grated mozzarella cheese (for garnish) 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions Wash mushrooms and remove stems, pat dry. Save stems for another recipe. In a mixing bowl, place clams, onions, garlic salt, minced garlic, soft butter and oregano. Mix thoroughly. Add Italian bread crumbs, egg, and clam juice and blend. Stir cheeses in clam stuffing and mix well.

Place clam mixture inside mushroom cavity and slightly mound clam mixture. You should be able to stuff between 8 and 12 mushrooms depending on the size of mushrooms.

Place mushrooms in lightly oiled baking dish. Pour melted butter over mushrooms. Cover and place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 35 and 40 minutes. Remove cover, sprinkle freshly grated mozzarella cheese on top of the mushrooms and pop them back in the oven just until the cheese melts slightly. Garnish with freshly diced parsley.
