Congrats mcday! My surgery got bumped from 11am to 1pm. Not sure if its because of the weather or if another emergency surgery bumped me off. So I don't need to be at there until 11am.

Thank you Banjo257! How was your diet after? I know everyone is different.

Current pre-op wt 344

Approx 400 to 500 cals for two weeks.

Protein Shake, greek yogurt, eggbeater scrambled, sf popsicle, sf Jello pudding, and sip crystsl light all day long!

But several are surprised I can have anything but liquids. Guess my doc is a rebel!

It is so nice to go to LBT and hear so much happiness.

TV news is so sad, but here there is hope and new beginnings.

Do your best, even on the hard days. Dedicate your efforts to the brave women who lost their lives to help the children.

Man I feel like a failure...today is day one and I broke down and ate a bell pepper...I am trying not to beat myself up over this since it was literally just a pepper...Better luck tomorrow I guess!

Day 2 post-op … found the guts to take pics of my 'wounds' and posted them. I think they look pretty good! No swelling or redness. Gas pain in shoulder is still there, but overall it has been a great day. Hubby helped me into the shower and then I was able to remove the dressings. I'm guess the bigger puncture/cut is where my port is located.

How is everyone else doing?? :D

Sorry...preop diet day one.

Don't beat yourself up too much … tomorrow is a new day … BUT … stick w/ the program. This journey does not begin w/ the day of surgery … it begins now. I mapped out my foods as per all the info my doc and nutritionalist gave me on my blog.

This is a wonderful time of year for Soups … use them to add flavor and maintain your 'liquid' diet. Everyone is different; however, I lost 20 pounds on the pre-op diet … it's a rough road, but worth the travel! You can do this!!! :D

Tomorrow is a new day pumpkin. I have faith in you.

I can't believe this but I'm starting to get sick. Sore throat and all the other goodies that come with a cold.

I'm so doomed.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
