When I click on my profile on the very top in blue it shows Message Boards Groups Blogs Find Members --- this is the one you want to click!!!! Invite Friends----- this one is for a email or Facebook Hope that will help

I was very confused bc it did the same to me. I figured out that if you are on the home screen and click friends it wants a Facebook or email to add them. So what you have to do is click my profile then click find members ....and tada!! It took me quite some time to figure that out
