Today I ate a lot and its not that my band is t working but I was able to eat more than normal. Yes it was some slide foods but I got the fu feeling but I just kept craving food! Does this happen from time to time? If its happened to you how did you overcome the urge to eat more?

Yes it happens. I find the more salty/fatty/crunchy the foods the more I want to eat them. Probably because I don't eat these foods very often. I try to get a good base of lower fat/protein foods and have a small amount of "fun foods" to top off.

I too get the cravings to eat more after I'm full....but I don't give into the urge because I hate how uncomfortable I will feel afterwards.....that alone makes me just stick to the 1 cup rule. Also the risk of slippage and erosion scares me as well.....So make sure you are not stretching the pouch....to walk away takes a lot of will power...and that's not always easy!!!

Tomorrow is another day and a day to start anew. If you have been eating healthy foods and portions before today, chances are tomorrow you may not feel so well (gassy, ucky, etc) as your body isn't used to it. Hopefully, that alone would be a deterrant.

The biggest thing is to not put yourself in that situation. If the foods were in your house, remove them. If you are overeating, try to serve yourself only 1 cup of food and put the rest away in the fridge so you aren't tempted for 2nds/3rds, etc. Lastly, if I am fighting the urge and wanting to overeat or eat unhealthy items, I try to distract myself until it passes or I will allow myself a piece of what it I am wanting and that seems to do it.

Just be careful, overeating can stretch the pouch and can cause a slip. You do not want that to happen.

Tomorrow is a new day ~ here's to doing better tomorrow!

Thanks everyone for your responses I found it was just that one day and I was very emotional. I'm going to have to find other things

to do to fight emotional hunger instead of giving I to the temptation.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
