Is it normal to be sooooo hungry just one day after my first fill? I have felt like I am starving all day. I've had Protein Shakes, Soup, cottage cheese, yogurt. NOTHING is working. I am constantly hungry and the sounds my stomach is making.....my daughter keeps laughing at me because it is so LOUD.

Hate to tell you this but, yes it is normal. Welcome to bandster hell! Now is the time that you really have to work on the diet you may not feel restriction for a few fills. It took me 7 fills. Just keep your eye on the end goal and you will get through this. Good luck.

I'm curious to see the answers to this post, as I just had my first fill today and I am starving too! And my stomach is making strange, loud, growling noises too haha!

See my response above. As for the noises, they ain't going away. My band "talks" all the time, sometimes at the most inappropriate times.

I guess I almost expected to not feel that hungry right after a fill. OMG it's been horrible. Dr told me I could have things back today like cottage cheese, oatmeal, etc.....soft foods. I just had my hubby get me some oatmeal. I think this is the hungriest I have felt since getting the band.

One more thing to get used to I guess!! ;)

My surgery is Monday, and during this pre op diet week, I found out that food is basically all in my mind. I was never someone to eat just because, but, I found myself eating when I was bored at home.

The band is our tool to our new lifestyle and to be a healthier person. You have to look back into your eating history and see if you are treading back down the same path.

I am thankful for this pre op diet, as it's opened my eyes to the real reality of what my life should be like. I don't want to look in the mirror each day and say well....it's another day of being over weight, what can I do. I want to live....I want to see my little girl graduate from college.... I want to go shopping with my friends and never feel embarrassed....I want to be able to feel confident while with my husband and around his friends.... I just was my life back and see that girl in the mirror that I use to be.

We make our own decisions in life and for once in 15 years, I am saying noooooooo to food and yes to LIFE.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
