Angie71,

As you see the rest of the early "May Band Crew" has been just fine and I know you will be the same...Remain positive and do as the Doc says !!! Hurry up from Surgery so I can hear all about it as I leave on Saturday to the states for surgery on the 9th...

Angie71, I will be joining you tomorrow! I will be banded here in WA. I am so excited. I can't wait. I just hope I don't have to wait all day! anyway good luck to you! and the rest of the May 4th Banders. Tomorrow night we will all be on the other side. :clap2:

Hello my May friends!

Day 2 is going well. I'm pretty sleepy and have been napping on and off. I didn't sleep well last night. I think the longest stretch I slept for was 2 hours. I'm not in much pain just kind of uncomfortable feeling. I was a bit concerned yesterday because I was able to drink a lot in one sitting then I woke up from a nap and had a cup of jello and some broth and WHAM! I was way too full. Now I know what that feels like! Yuck! Today I've been slowly sipping some broth and apple juice and it seems to be going much better.

The worst part is getting up and down. It feels like I've done 10,000 situps. Hopefully this is all making sense.... I just took some Vicoden a bit ago. Maybe I'll go settle down for another little nappie. :notagree

Good luck to those that are going in the next few days!

Just thought I'd pop in here and congratulate everyone who has been or is about to be banded. It's so exciting, isn't it? I can't believe I was in your shoes four months ago! Before ya know it, you all will be old timers giving advice to the newbies!

Thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May your surgery be painless, your recovery be swift, and your lap band journey be amazingly successful! Cheers!

My sister and I are scheduled for May 24th with Dr. Zapata in Monterrey Mexico. We are going through ready4achange.com.

Anyone out there had him as their dr? Sister (who's a RN) may want to switch to sanchez - because we can't find out much info on zapata - but ready4achange has a great reputation.

Hello, I'mgetting banded May 25th in Monterey, Mexico by Dr. Arturo Rodriguez. Has anybody been banded by that Dr. If so please let me know your experience down there, and how the surgerywent! Thanks Jim

Hey Good Luck May 4th Bandsters!! I'll be thinking of you tommorow. I'ts all very exciting.

Hey Kim, were getting banded the same day!:clap2:

Take care everyone, and let us know how your all doing.

.

Has anyone read any good books on Lap-Band procedure? I found a couple on Amazon last night and a cook book.

Robin

HUGS & Good Luck to all!

This one is good. I haven't purchased it yet, but have looked through it. It was written by Jessie Ahroni who worked at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery in Everett. I don't know all that she does there, but I do know that she does fills. She has been banded for several years. It is clear and not all techie. Good luck

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone who went on the 1st and 2nd are doing really well, and healing. To everyone going tomorrow, the 4th, and on through the rest of May best of luck and my prayers are with everyone.

I was banded this morning at 10 am. I was very nervous, and honestly wanted to get up off of the table and tell them nevermind, but they were very calming and before I knew it they were waking me up out of the deepest sleep! My main problem today was being soooo sleepy, I basically slept the day away. I feel like I've done entirely too many sit-ups, but thus far discomfort is very minimal. I feel a little tinge of gas pain in my shoulder blade, but I went ahead and took some Gas-X strips and hopefully that will take care of it.

I will keep everyone posted as the days pass.

I'm sooooooooo excited!!!! :clap2:

I have this book and I really like it. I read through it cover to cover when I first got it and I still flip through it occassionally. The author has an interesting insight as she is a doctor as well as a bandster.
