Does anyone's scale at home read different than the doctors office or hospital? I just bought a digital one offline and it reads 6lbs higher that the doctors!! I feel kinda depressed about this.. I know i haven't gained since Monday but woow i was so excited to check.. Does anyone else have this issue?

My scale always reads me two pounds lighter than the docs

Jess,

I was told that we would be swollen after for a while and would retain Water so anything you weight now will drop off quickly because it is only water.

My gas is still crazy. Prob because I'm back to work and don't move around as much as I should had I stayed home a week.

I farted more than i ever have in my life my family would just look at me astonished lmao

First of all! congrats to all you who have already gotten your bands! I am sure it's tough, and reading your posts I am a bit more nervous! but I know it will be worth it for us. :) I Had my last appt with my surgeon, Dr. Eckstein. I was suppose to have my surgery on the 23rd, it was moved to the 22nd. So, a day early is better than later! I start my pre op diet in 2 days... for 10 days. I am not prepared at all. So I am goin a bit crazy here. I just can't wait till all this is over with, pain and all and we get on with our new lifestyle. Good luck to all ! shoot me a message anytime!

I'm back home after my op on the 9th. We travelled back on the Eurostar today.

When I first woke up I was really frightened cause I was in do much pain I could barely breathe at all. I've never felt anything like it. They gave me 3 lots of meds and an injection. It eased a little. The next day and night I was still in a lot if pain and it only started to ease about 10am today. I wouldn't have coped without my husband there. He was so good, he even had to brush my hair for me and put my pants on for me yesterday! I couldn't have any ibruprofen as I had a stomach ulcer from it last month so all I could have was strong paracetamol via the iv every 6 hours.

The hospital was spotless, very well organised and everyone spoke very good English

I managed to drink a glass of Water and a Dutch crisp bread which was easy as it turns to nothingness before swallowing. The green broth Soup I couldn't face. I've been living off of ice peach tea as its nice and smooth and I've had a Protein Shake this afternoon.

I have 5 clexane injections to do at home and I have ted stockings to wear for 5 days. They've given me some domiperidone tabs and some dissolvable paracetamol.

I'm sat on the sofa now with my feet up and I'm surprised how much better I'm feeling than yesterday. The surgeons words were 'you will feel like a bulldozer has run over your chest except it was me!' He was right!!

My lips have shredded like a snake! Is that normal? They're peeling like crazy.

Hi there! I am feeling better today. I wasn't doing so good yesterday. Lost of gas pain. I think that going back to work 3 days post op had me rushing and I was eating/drinking the little I could too fast. But today I am better. I also have my post op monday morning at 9:45!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
