_{My wife and I are being banded on October 24. We are lucky enough to self-fund the surgeries, so we didn't have to go through a lot of insurance hoops (neither of our insurances will cover bariatric surgery). We would have loved to have the surgery earlier in October, but the surgeon said we would not be able to drive for a week after the surgery, and I have many commitments in October.}

Im hoping my surgery will be in October. I meet with the surgeon next Wednesday and will get my date then. Im self paying so I wont have to wait for insrance to okay it. Im very excited to get my journey going!
