  1. I had surgery at 12 weeks to remove a huge cyst on one of my ovaries and they wound up removing the ovary as well. I was already high risk for other reasons so this scared the crap out of me. I'm 18 weeks now and both me and baby are doing well. I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I just thought I'd share my experience with surgery while pregnant. They should have an OB there as well, right? I'd make sure of that, just to be safe. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  2. I'm over in Cypress/Katy area. I used Dr. Reilly and liked him. I'm not sure of any support groups in those areas, just of the one at the True Results clinic on the last Thursday of the month. I've had a hectic year so I haven't been back but I'd recommend going if you can't find another. I was banded October 12, lost 40 lbs until the beginning of the year. I'm not a great bander as I got in a slump, stopped losing, felt like I failed then got pregnant (14 weeks now), started losing again (while pregnant, baby and I are healthy. I'm sure it'll slow soon since the baby will catch up) but you can message me if you'd like. =) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  3. Ya'll look awesome! I've not lost much this year. I gained a bit after a slump when we found out that my boyfriend has Testicular Cancer and have since lost and only maintained that becauseeeee... I'm 13 weeks pregnant. Lol. I'm eating great, as my cravings are mostly healthy stuff and lots of fruit and veggies... And the occasional gummy bear when my daughter has them. =x I've lost a couple pounds here and there but I'm pretty sure I'm just losing in time to gain baby so it's staying pretty much the same. Lol. I'm fine with that though. I had emergency surgery last week to remove a twisted cyst on my ovary so I'm not very mobile right now but I feel a million times better than I have for most of this year so I'm looking forward to getting back to normal in a couple of weeks! I did have to have fluid removed because I kept getting stuck. I was at 5, now 4. Call me crazy, but I felt full much quicker after my small unfill! I'm thinking I might end up having to have maybe a complete unfill by the end of this pregnancy because I feel tighter and tighter every week or so. I'm down to about maybe a little under 1 cup of food to fill me up, but satisfied at less. At first I could eat quite a bit more, so if I keep going at this rate I don't think I'll be able to take in adequate nutrition and such. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  4. Just talked to my doctor! It was just irritation and what she the other lady saw was part of the band! Over a week of worry, I feel a million pounds lighter right now! Lol. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  5. Thank you, but I think that you think that I'm the person that was recently posting about it, I was just stating that mine was normal. Lol. Or so Dr said. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  6. Thanks for asking! I dropped the disc off today, hopefully I'll know more soon! Just trying to keep my head up and believe that if there was something out of place, especially that large, that my surgeon would of seen it when he was in there! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  7. Long story short, I went for my 6 month Post Pulmonary Embolism check up so I can get off my Pradaxa and had a CT Scan last Monday, which was 10 days post Lap Band surgery. The paperwork read: "There is an unusual 4.4 x 2.7 cm lobulated focus of soft tissue density in the gastric lumen, abutting the lap band, of uncertain etiology - could represent a polypoid lesion in the stomach." My Hematologist failed to mention this, which totally angered me because she's also an Oncologist and the place that I was at was a Cancer Center! So, polypoid lesions could mean cancer, right? They should freaking mention it?! Anyways, tomorrow my surgeon will be seeing the disk of pictures from the CT Scan that I picked up today. I looked at it myself, of course I have no idea what I'm looking at, but can you tell anything from this picture, or do you have to know how to read the other blob looking ones? Lmao. Ugh! It's killing meeeee!
  8. I don't think you really HAVE to go into detail for an image to appear with that one! Lmao! Oh lawdy! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  9. Lol, I'm starting to think that I need to eat something right before bed. I'm awake... And so is my tummy! It won't shut the heck up! I don't wanna eat until at least 6 or 7! Usually later! Lol, I'm starting to get more and more hunger during the day, I'm still keeping it together for the most part though. These nights are killing me though. I'm about to get my butt out of bed and hope a jello cup will shut it up. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  10. My daughter is my motivation. I want to be around to see her grow. Period. The Pre-Op diet was miserable for me but I just kept busy and tried my best to not think about it! I wish you the best of luck! That proud feeling that you get when you do something good, I got that when I finally made it through the pre op and surgery - amazing feeling!, now I'm 16 days out and I'm on mushies. I haven't really craved anything but a salad, LOL, ahh, I'd loveeeee a salad! We're all here for your support. =) You can do it! <3 If you have My Fitness Pal, add me, FallonB is my username! It's great for me! I love and need the accountability!
  11. I'm doing much better today! I took it easy for the latter part of the day yesterday and have been just relaxing with my windows open today... enjoying the cool breeze coming in! My neighbors have their heater on! I'm like, WHAT?! Lol. They're crazy! It feels amazing! Thanks for asking! <3

  13. I couldn't find out how to share my recipe for my veggie soup straight from MyFitnessPal, so I added it to my blog, and again, you have to be my friend on LBT to view my blog, sorry! It's that way so people can't randomly view it! http://www.lapbandta...ie-soup-recipe/

  15. Ugh, woke up this morning with excruciating port pain. I pressed down and realized that it moved about an inch go the right. I'm scared to call my doctor because I don't wanna bug him and I already called him yesterday about the results from my CT Scan. Is this normal? The horrible pain? I know it's fine for it to be tender, but this is extremely painful. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk

  17. I normally wouldn't be so scared, but my Nana passed away from stomach cancer in 08. I trust my doctor and yes, I agree, it's probably just from all the equipment and cutting or something, but at the same time... It's personal because of my grandmother. I'm a worrier. =/ Ahhhh! Hurry up Monday! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  18. I'm pretty worried right about now. My last check up appointment with my Hematologist was today. Good news is that my Pulmonary Embolism is gone and I can get off my medicine in 2 weeks. I left after getting a copy of my CT Scan. Then, I was looking at my results it in the car today and read that they "saw my gastric band and there was a 4.4x2.7 mass adjacent to the band - possible polypoid lesion" Uhhhhh, what? My Hematologist is also an Oncologist, she should of brought this up! So it's Friday and I'm pissed that I can't do anything until Monday. I called my surgeon and he said since they aren't really trained to look at lapbands on scans they could be wrong and to send him the video of the scan next week. But, at the same time, they know what they're looking at cyst/polyp wise - I was at a freaking cancer center! So now I've Google'd polypoid lesion of the stomach and all I had to read was possibly malignant to worry me. =( Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  19. Got my Allergen Lapband Pedometer Radio today as well as my ID card. Lol. Did anyone else get these from them? It was in my Lapband packet from my surgeon. I just filled in out and sent it in last week. I still want a Fitbit though, taking donations! Lol. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
